Located only 1 hour from Belfast and 2 hours from Dublin the area is an ideal location for hill walkers/hikers, golfers and families who can enjoy the many forest parks, horse riding, mountain biking, cycling and beaches.

From Newcastle follow directions for Mourne Coastal route (Kilkeel A2) approximately 6 miles turn right at Quarter Road petrol station also sign posted “High Mourne Scenic Loop” and Silent Valley. Kribben Cottages are located approximately 1 mile on right hand side of road.

Our third stay at Kribben Cottages and once again it was perfect. We were a group of six adults,a toddler,a baby and a dog.Paula kindly organised high chair and stair gate for us.we stayed at Seefin and there wasn’t a thing to complain about, every single thing we needed was there for us.Beds are super comfy ,bathrooms spacious,kitchen well equipped and house overall is spotlessly clean.
The views from this cottage are stunning with the Mournes sweeping down to the back and the sea to the front,beautiful sunrises and sunsets.
Paula and her mum are super hosts and nothing is too much trouble.The shortbread we were left is fabulous!!
I’d highly recommend these cottages to anyone looking a break away from it all

Superb accommodation in great location, and excellent helpful host.
We have stayed here twice now (with our two dogs) and have a booked a third trip later in the summer. Think that says everything about the place.
The cottage is in excellent condition and very well decorated with all the usual amenities to hand. It is in a great location for walking in the Mournes and Annalong village just 5 minutes drive away with shops, restaurents, etc. (though we dined in every night to enjoy the lovely cottage!).
The host is very responsive and helpful. There are also extras you can buy such as steak night (great value) or logs for the fire (though the house is very warm any way so we did not use last time!).
So we can thoroughly recommend this place and as I said above we are going back. Also friends of ours have stayed here numerous times and indeed also staying soon (they recommended it to us). Definitely stay here if want a bit of luxury!

Fabulous Cottages
This was my second stay at Kribben Cottages. I went for a weekend with friends in January and was so impressed, I booked it for a family break during school midterm with two teenagers and our dog. The cottages are fabulous! We stayed in Seefin in January and then in Rourkes in February, both of which are identical and have lovely views of the Mournes. The kitchens are fully equipped and it was such a nice treat to have fresh scones on our arrival. Bedrooms, bathrooms and living/dining area all top notch and owners close by if any queries arise. Underfloor heating downstairs and the fire, when lit, just adds to the cosy feel! The location is just perfect, close enough to Newcastle to go for a nice meal and also only a few miles from Silent Valley Reservoir where we had a nice walk. We also did the Blue Lough walk and Annalong Forrest Walk, with starting points within walking distance or a short drive. There's a quaint little café close by too and a small shop / petrol station at the corner of the main Road. I've booked the two larger cottages for a weekend in September so can't wait for that! Thank you so much to both Paula and Myrtle. My son left some school books behind and Myrtle delivered them to our door the next day as she just happened to be in Belfast. So very kind of you!!

Perfect weekend away
This was our first stay at Kribben Cottages and we chose Crannoge Cottage for a 2 night weekend break. We were absolutely thrilled from the moment we walked into the cottage. Paula met us with scones and eggs which was a lovely start to the weekend. The cottage was clean, warm, comfortable, luxurious and well equipped. The bed was really comfy, it really was like home from home! The views of the mournes are amazing - mournes one side and sea the other, you just can't beat it. Would highly recommend, we will definitely be booking again!

Wonderful week at kribben Cottages
Spent week at Kribben Cottages in Sept (sorry for late review). On arrival we were greeted with fresh eggs and homemade scones. The cottage was spotless and of high quality throughout. It was very spacious and had everything you need. It was a home from home. The views of the Mournes are stunning. We sat in the back garden as a family around the firepit which was so relaxing admiring the beautiful views. Paula is so helpful and friendly. The owners really take so much pride in this establishment. It is a credit to them. The grounds are immuculate with the help of grounds men and Reggie. There is so much to do in this beautiful part of N Ireland. Car is a must. We brought our dog, she just loved the cottage and surroundings. Thanks again Paula and Mytrle, we look forward to our next stay

Fabulous Weekend
My friends &I have just spent a fantastic weekend at Kribben Cottages ( Seafin )
The accommodation is first class . The cottage was spotless , cosy and very well equipped . We wanted for nothing .
Paula was so welcoming and informative .
I would unreservedly recommend Kribben cottages & would look forward to a return trip .

Magical stay
We had a fantastic stay between Christmas and new year. Cottage is so well stocked and lovely and cosy. Beds are comfortable and the bathroom is the stuff of dreams! The views are amazing. Can’t recommend enough

Family weekend

Beautiful cottage in a beautiful setting
Amazing location with views of sea and mountain. The cottage was fantastic; spacious, comfortable and well-equipped. Couldn’t have asked for anything more. The only problem was we didn’t book for long enough!

My husband and I always love to visit the Mournes to enjoy walking and the beautiful scenery. As we decided to cancel our 3 week holiday to Southern Italy we needed to get away from home just for a change of scenery and Kribben Cottages didn't disappoint. The cottage exceeded our expectation with all the comforts of home but with breath taking views out of every window and total peace. The cottages have been designed and fitted out with everything you could ask for to make your stay cosy and comfortable. Spacious bedrooms with very comfortable mattresses and pillows and extremely clean. Kitchen had everything you could ask for on a self-catering holiday and again spotlessly clean.
Location perfect to enjoy the local walks and only a short drive to Newcastle and Annalong where there are great restaurants and takeaways - no need to cook if you don't want to.
We will definitely return again and are already looking forward to it.
