Beautiful lodge with amazing views. Everything you need within. Enclosed gardens for the dogs and large hothub to relax in at the end of the day after our days out at the stunning beaches nearby. Nice and cozy with the log burner. Lorna also left a delicious breakfast hamper for us! Would definitely recommend

Thank you for your kind review. Lovely to hear you enjoyed the beaches close by and made the most of the hot tub. It's the best way to end the day especially now with the colder weather and dark nights.
A pleasure to host and welcome again anytime.

Amazing, breathtaking and didn’t want to leave!
Saying it exceeded our expectations would be an understatement! The views are stunning and the wildlife make it feel like a woodland fantasy. Couldn’t recommend it more! The lodge has so much space and far bigger than I thought it would be and the hot tub was even bigger! Lorna was lovely and an incredible host, you can tell she’s doing what she loves and it shows in what she’s accomplished. Can’t wait to stay again!!

The lodge was spotlessly clean and comfortable, the furnishings are of a high standard, all the beds were very comfortable. Loved the extra little touches like the breakfast hamper and the dog bowls with treats and poo bags!! Thanksfor a lovely stay, won't be our last!

Magical Stay
Wonderful location, views from Rowanlea are just so beautiful. The lodge it’s self is super clean. It is fitted out with everything you require for a perfect stay. Lorna our host has included many extras with lovely wee touches throughout. It is easy to see that Lona had put her heart and soul into Rowanlea. The hamper was very tasty and extremely generous. Lorna goes above and beyond to create a brilliant trip away. The lodge has a magical feeling. We were delighted and entertained by a ‘Scottish safari’ of creatures who visited the garden..two red squirrels, two ginger hens,a hare,a wee garden vole,a woodpecker, many birds and the nightly flight of bats. The garden is well maintained and the hot tub a fantastic place to unwind. Rowanlea is a super place to stay. No one could fail to be charmed by it.

Perfect weekend
My family and I stayed at Rowanlea Lodge from Friday 24th to Monday 26th March, and I can honestly say it was the most wonderful little break. We were there celebrating my other half’s 38th birthday, and along with our 3 year old daughter, we took our beloved Labrador and also our pet tortoise, so it was a real family affair. The moment we arrived we were greeted warmly by Lorna, who was there to show us around and answer any questions we might have. She was also on hand via phone for anything else, but really I feel we were left with all the information we could need, including local takeaway menus etc!! The welcome hamper was amazing, bread, cereals, teas, and even a selection of hot food items to get us off to a brilliant start each morning. Whilst there we visited Dunnottar castle, St Cyrus beach, aunty Betty’s ice cream shop in Stonehaven(a must), all which I would highly recommend! Another little gem is the local pub in Marykirk, just a short walk from the lodge, and they do the best carvery on a Sunday I think we’ve ever had. All in all we hope to get back to stay again in the future and have already recommended Rowanlea Lodge to many of our friends. You definitely won’t regret booking here.
Thanks so much again Lorna.
xx

Wonderful
Rowanlea was a welcome break. Beautiful lodge, stunning views, warm and comfortable, hot tub delightful after long walks. Highly recommend to get away from a hectic life. Day at the beach, Balmoral cairns, Dunottar Castle all visited despite the wild wet and windy weather. Lorna was a fabulous host and provided all that was needed for a relaxing, homely stay. Thank you Lorna.

The views from the lodge are stunning especially the sunsets. There are so many places to visit in the area from beaches to castles. The lodge is well equipped , very comfortable and cozy with the log fire on cooler nights. The hot tub was a bonus it was wonderful to come back after a long walk and enjoy a relaxing soak watching the sunset. We had a fabulous holiday and would definitely like to return.
