Katie's Flat is a modern well equipped self catering flat attached to main house in a quiet area on the edge of Oban with Visit Scotland 4 star grading.
The flat has free WiFi, linens and towels provided and electricity is included in price. The property comes with private decking area and Artesian hot tub. Oban is an excellent base for touring Argyll and the isles and for those who enjoy sport there is an 18 hole golf course, pony trekking and diving.
Katie's Flat also has beauty services available next door in the main house including massage, facials and manicure etc.

Einfach toll!
Ich weiß gar nicht, wo ich anfangen soll. Kurz wäre es wahrscheinlich: Einfach toll!
Die Wohnung ist wunderbar. Hell, freundlich. Liebevoll eingerichtet. Alles ist hochwertig, vom Bettzeug bis zum Besteck. In der Küche gibt es alles, was man sich nur wünschen kann. Kühl-Gefierkombi, Mikrowelle, Herd mit Backofen, Spülmaschine, Waschmaschine. Selbst Handtuch und Spüli werden gestellt. Genauso wie Shampoo, Seife, etc. im Bad. Die Badewanne kann spruden. Ich habe das nicht genutzt. Lieber der Whirlpool draußen. Zum Sonnenuntergang. Und dann die nach und nach aufleuchtenden Sterne beobachten. Herrlich! Am Morgen aus dem Bett zu kommen war nicht ganz leicht, weil das Bett so mega bequem war. Ich habe mich total in die Bettwäsche verliebt und direkt geschaut, wo ich die kaufen kann. Was mir sehr aufgefallen ist: Ich habe noch nie eine so saubere Wohnung erlebt. Nicht auf ungemütliche Weise. Gerade bei eine Wohnung, in die man auch Hunde mitbringen kann, finde ich das wichtig.
Ich war mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln unterwegs. Und obwohl die Wohnung ca 1,3 Meilen von der Innenstadt entfernt ist, war das überhaupt kein Problem. Ein Bus fährt direkt vor der Wohnung, ein anderer 300m weiter. Hat alles zuverlässig funktioniert.
Die Vermieterin war unglaublich freundlich. Sie hat mir direkt bei der Ankunft ein gutes Gefühl gegeben. Auch im Vorfeld hat sie die Fragen, die ich hatte, geduldig beantwortet. In der Wohnung hatte sie ein kleines "Willkommenspaket" vorbereitet mit Obst, kleinen Kuchen und Keksen. (Kaffee und Tee gehören zur WOhnungsausstattung.) Außerdem gab es zwei Mappen mit Informationen. In einer alles zur Wohnung und zum Ort. (Von der Fernseherbedienung, über die Mülltrennung bis zu Arzt, Apotheke und Supermarkt) In der anderen waren lauter Speisekarten von Restaurants und Lieferdiensten.
Oban war zu dieser Jahreszeit einfach herrlich. Ich war bisher nur im Sommer in Schottland. Hatte ein wenig Sorgen, wie es wohl Ende Februar, Anfang März sein würde. Es war die richtige Entscheidung! Es gab auch andere Touristen, aber nicht so viele. Dadurch war es weniger voll. Ich bekam überall einen Platz, zB im Restaurant, auch ohne Reservierung. Die Pormenade war nicht so überlaufen. Ich empfand es als herrlich friedlich und entspannend.
Die Reise war jeden Euro wert und ich komme garantiert wieder!

Second Visit
We have just stayed for 3 nights at Katie's Flat. It was our second stay at the flat and it is an excellent little flat.
It was really clean and had everything you could need. The Hot Tub was absolutely amazing
We would definitely recommend it.

Exquisite rental in the quiet hills above Oban
We stayed 2 nights in this immaculate 1 bedroom flat. Everything was perfect! A quick drive to the bustle of town and very near groceries. The host was very nice and right there when we drove up.

Lovely attention to detail and relaxing hot tub!
My partner and I booked Katie’s flat for a birthday weekend away in Oban and it didn’t disappoint. The hostess Catriona was lovely and everything had been thought out thoroughly to make our stay comfortable, including snacks in the kitchen and every amenity we might need.
The flat was immaculate and very comfy; not to mention having a glorious hot tub to unwind in with some stunning views. Would definitely recommend if you are looking for somewhere to stay when visiting Oban.

Beautiful flat
This is a beautiful flat in immaculate condition. It has a hot tub, sauna bath, washer dryer, feather pillows and duvet. The kitchen has everything. We stayed for 5 nights, next time we will stay for a week or more. Oban is a great place to stay for visiting the Inner Hebrides. Catriona is lovely, very welcoming, friendly and helpful.

Loved out stay
While looking for places to stay in oban for a short stay , I wanted 3 things . Good Wi-Fi , a bath and pet friendly. Katie s flat ticked all boxes . The flat was spotless , was in a good location and very good price compared to local hotel rooms .
The owner Catriona lives in the main house next door and was very welcoming.
We loved the bath as we have 2 bathrooms at home with showers only . The added bonus was that it was a spa bath .
An outdoor Jacuzzi is to be fitted shortly by the owner which will make the flat even better for guests . I would really recommend Katie's flat , you won't regret booking it .

Perfect!
My partner and I spent a few days at Katie’s Flat for the last leg of our honeymoon. It was perfect! The flat is so clean and cosy. Catriona is the most thoughtful, kind and caring host. Cannot fault. One of the best places I’ve ever stayed in. Thank you for having us!

Lovely accomodation
We have just stayed for 3 nights at Katies Flat. It is an excellent little flat. It was really clean and had everything you could need. The jacuzzi bath was absolutely amazing! I would definitely recommend it and if we are ever back in Oban it would be our 1st choice.

Just amazing - faultless - loved it
We booked this as part of a holiday touring Scotland and other than a Luxury Hotel this was the best accommodation.
The flat is excellent accommodation. The bedroom has plenty of wardrobe space and a comfortable bed. The bathroom had a large bath, a shower and there were toiletries available and robes.
The kitchen is well fitted and has everything you need. A washer/dryer, dishwasher and all cooking facilities. The welcome pack of milk, juice, biscuits and cake was a treat after a long drive.
The lounge has two sofas and the TV has Netflix which we enjoyed.
It was a home from home and we loved it.

Sets the standard for self catering accommodation
This lovely flat is at the very top end of what can be anticipated for self catering holiday accommodation. Beautifully finished and eqipped, clearly with no expense spared, and spotlessly clean. It proves it is possible to find a really good and luxurious holiday home which accepts dogs, without having to compromise on quality. Can't recommend this flat highly enough.
