There's a hot tub in the walled garden and a large barn. Inside the barn you'll find a common bar, pool table, dart board, garden games, and a fleet of bicycles for touring purposes. Feel free to bring your own garden games. The house also has trout fishing rights on the river Ettrick which is just a few yards from the house. There's also free WiFi Internet access available in the living room. The hire includes the entire house, excluding the annexe. The Scottish Borders offers an unparalleled range of things to do and see all within easy driving distance of the house. Activities include cycling, walking, bird sightseeing, historic site visits, kayaking, equestrian hire, and much more. We are currently putting together an in house folder and web pages, describing local walks and cycling routes from Pine Lodge. Pine lodge offers guided hill walks and mountain adventures. These need to be arranged prior to your visit. Why not spend a day with Gavin who is a highly experienced, fully qualified, and insured Mountain Instructor. He was born and brought up in the Borders and has a wealth of knowledge of the places and life in the surrounding hills which he openly shares with his walkers. Gavin can also teach you navigational skills, from the basics to advanced, both summer and winter. As a taster, Gavin has hand-picked 3 classic hill walks in and around the Ettrick and Yarrow valleys that are of medium to moderate difficulty. However, it is possible to customise a walk to suit your particular needs or aspirations. All you need to do is ask. Due to new regulations from the local Council, there is now a charge for the hot tub at £100 per visit. We can accept and put away grocery delivery orders by appointment. This takes the hassle out of having to shop on your way here. If you need any more information please don't hesitate to contact us. More
