I have just returned from a 2 night break at the Barnsoul Campsite. We were part of a larger group of 4 families - 8 adults and 7 kids. We all stayed in the Apex Pods which I must say were very comfy and provided enough space.
Each pod comes with a fire pit which we used for fires and a bbq
The kids enjoyed fishing for tiddly winks in the small pond on site and there is plenty of room for field games i.e. rounders / badminton etc
We didnt expore the local surroundings so cant really comment, preferring to stay on-site as kids were happy with playing about.
Overall the site is well kept with decent toilets and showers. The communal kitchen area is a great plus as provides extra space for cooking / dining if required.
£5 for a smallish amount of wood for the fire was maybe a wee bit steep?
