This is a fabulous luxury basement apartment, newly available in a prestigious location close to Princes Street, the Royal Mile and Holyrood Palace. The accommodation is situated in a handsome neoclassical Georgian terrace townhouse designed by William Playfair and lying within the UNESCO World Heritage Site. Award-winning designer Simon Mcilwraith was commissioned for the interior decoration. Each of the three double bedrooms has a separate design theme and all have en-suite shower rooms. So I’ve stayed in Edinburgh hundreds of times and this is genuinely the worst place I’ve been. It’s filthy. Run down. Stains on the mattress. Dust and un-vacuumed floors. Stinks of damp. Had to wedge open widow (as it wouldn’t stay open and snapped shut)...More
