The large, spacious ground floor apartment is the ideal base for families (or a group of friends) to use a base for exploring everything that Edinburgh has to offer. Gladstone Apartment is located in a quiet residential street making it a nice relaxing space to come home to after a days sightseeing in the capital.
The spacious living room has two sofas and a large dining table which families love as it means that they can all eat together in the evening. The living room is packed full of period features with sanded wooden floors, a period fireplace and ornate cornicing. The kitchen, situated at the rear of the property is fully equipped and comes with crockery, cutlery, glasses and kitchen ware, as well as dishwasher, fridge, freezer, cooker and microwave. There's also a breakfasting table. The pantry, located just off the kitchen holds the washing machine and tumble dryer.
The large front bedroom has a double bed and wardrobe with plenty space to hang clothes. A single bed can also be set up in either the front bedroom or in the living room to provide more flexible accommodation or for a fifth guest. A supplementary fee applies for using the single bed. The second bedroom, at the back of the property, has another double bed and space for storing clothes.
The price of gas and electricity are included within the rent for stays of less than 4 weeks. For the comfort of all our guests the apartment is non-smoking and pets are not permitted.

We ask you to send us your travel plans and arrival time so we can meet you at the flat, show you around and how things work (like the central heating, showers, window shutters and locks etc), and give you the keys.
While we live off site, you will have our telephone numbers and can call us if you need assistance with the flat during your stay.
There are tourist information leaflets in the flat with ideas of what you can do in the area.

Our second stay in Gladstone Terrace, hopefully not the last. Quiet, deliciously cool in the warm weather, good kitchen and comfy fittings. Excellent location for all local facilities, and very close to the delightful Meadows.

Amazing loaction- next to beautiful Meadows, Summerhall and the best playpark in the city! The flat is situated at the very quiet street with old trees. The flat has good size, is old fashion/ traditional with good kitchen equipment. Perfect place for a family!

Marchmont still retains that community neighbourhood feel thanks to the array of local shops, cafes and restaurants so an ideal place to eat out whether for breakfast, a snack, or an evening meal. The area also a Co-Op and Sainsbury's Local store for stocking up on the essentials whilst staying at Gladstone Apartment. Marchmont is also famous as being the home of DI Rebus from the fictional Ian Rankin novels.
The nearest bus stop is only about 2 to 3 minutes walk from the flat - bus no 41 goes into Edinburgh city centre approximately every 15 minutes during the day and connects with the excellent bus service provided by lothian buses. You can see their website online, to plan your travel route to anywhere you want to go in Edinburgh.
Waverley train station is about 20 minute walk from the flat, or a 5 -10 minute taxi journey, depending on time of day, or you can take the no 41 bus, with a short walk from the bus stop to the train station down market street.
