We hired Feith Mhor for 3 nights for my 50th birthday. We had a lovely time and the house catered for everyone's needs. We especially liked the main lounge with an open fire where we sat at night chatting and playing games. The beds were very comfortable and having an ensuite in every room was a big plus. The facilities in the kitchen were superb. We also enjoyed watching the red squirrel that came to visit in the front garden.

We spent an amazing weekend at Feith Mhor, celebrating my husband's 70thbirthday. there were 11 in our party including 3 children. We had lots of space and the house is very well equipped and comfortable. The grounds are wonderful and the wildlife amazing. We saw woodpeckers, deer and squirrels. A blckbird's nest was just outside the front door. We spent a dayat Craghan Activities and also enjoyed time at the Highland Folk Museum at Newtonmore. I would highly recommend this as a holiday house for a large family.

Additional amenities & feature info
Built in the 1870's Feith Mhor (Fay Mor) is a recently renovated, charming and substantial country house taking its Gaelic name from its surroundings: great stillness. Set amidst delightful gardens and grounds it enjoys marvellous views to the West over the remote Monadhliath hills. Carrbridge is located in the Cairngorm National Park, 25 miles to the north is the capital of the Highlands, Inverness and 7 miles to the south is Aviemore, the Cairngorms and its ski-centre. Our area boasts a huge variety of wildlife and beyond the more common species of roe deer, red grouse and arctic hares are the more spectacular golden eagle and capercaillie. Up the glen large herds of red deer graze in the evening mist. A welcoming and comfortable base from which to enjoy the Highlands.
