In order to give you the greatest flexibility possible for your arrival we will leave the cottage unlocked ready for you, with the key inside. While we respect some guest’s preference for privacy, we hope to meet all of our guests during the course of their stay and are always available to answer questions or address issues. Guests are welcome to knock on the door to the house or to contact us by phone if we are not on site for any reason.

The cottage is set in a rural location near Aviemore in the Cairngorms National Park just off the main A9 Glasgow/Edinburgh-Inverness road. It is a perfect location from which to explore the Cairngorms and numerous local attractions including the Cairngorm Mountain Funicular, Strathspey Steam Railway, Highland Wildlife Park, Highland Folk Museum, Dalwhinnie Distillery, Landmark Forest Adventure Park and House of Bruar. For trips further afield, the A9 provides good access north/south, while the nearby A86 opens up the west, with Fort William only 75 minutes away. For activity enthusiasts the area offers almost unlimited opportunities for walkers, mountain bikers, golfers and water sports enthusiasts.

How to get there
Northbound on the A9: approximately 6 miles past the first Dalwhinnie turn off, on the first stretch of dual carriageway, turn left at the sign for Crubenmore.

Southbound on the A9: approximately 3 miles past the last sign for Newtonmore and 1 mile past the Glentruim sign, towards the end of the dual carriage way turn right for Crubenmore/Dalwhinnie.

Drive over the railway bridge and turn right down a small private road for
approximately ½ mile past two houses on the left and taking a fork to the left.
