About the neighbourhood
Aviemore is in the Cairngorm National Park in the Highlands of Scotland. There are many sights in and around a 10 mile radius of Aviemore. eg Cairngorm mountain and Rothiemurchas: The RSPB hide at Boat of Garten: The Highland Wildlife Park at Kincraig (new polar bear cub in 2018): Landmark Adventure Park at Carrbridge. These are just a few of the wide variety of things to see and do around us. Aviemore is also a good spot to base yourself as the Whisky trail, Castle trail are only a couple of things to see within a couple of hours drive. Inverness is only 30 miles away with the dolphins in the Moray Firth and Fort George on the coast well worth seeing.
Getting around
There is a local bus service in the area and a steam train runs most days between Aviemore and The Boat of Garten. Bike hire is also available and there is a local taxi service. National train service stops in Aviemore and Inverness is the nearest airport. There is a bus from the airport to the bus station in Inverness.
