The house is on a very quiet and peacefull location. The coastal area was amazing and the view of the Orkneys was beautifull. The house is perfect no wishes open. The owners Ethel and David are wonderful people, we are so glad to have met them. Daren, Carmen & Walter (our dog)

The cottage was well equipped with everything that myself, wife and our Boxer Max needed for our 2 week stay. Mrs G was a great host, welcoming us on arrival and providing a thoughtful welcome pack and some fresh flowers, which was a nice touch. Location ", holiday cottage " North Winds": prima. Surroundings: beatiful. Scenic coast, lovely moorlands, many special Cairns en brochs. Boottrip to Orkneys: super (skara brea, Italien Chapel and Kirkwall). Cottage: Warm and cosy, however we had a lot of snow! Rooms, bathroom, kitchen, etc: very clean. Bed: perfectly! "North Winds" is a recommander!

The A9 / A99 are the main routes in and out of Caithness and provide some spectacular scenery along the North East coast all the way from Inverness to Wick via John o'Groats. The journey time from Inverness to North Winds can vary from 2.5 to 3 hours. <BR><BR>From Wick<BR>Take the A99 north and continue to John o'Groats, on entering the village and passing the John o'Groats Post Office take the first road on your left A836 to Thurso (directly opposite the Seaview Hotel). You should continue on this road for another 5 minutes, pass by the areas of Huna and Canisbay.
