About the neighbourhood
Highland Coach House is 25mins from the Highland Capital Inverness and sitauated west of the hamlet of Marybank. Although near the city of Inverness the coach house is situated in a peaceful rural glen, one of the prettiest in the Highlands on the private Scatwell estate. There are local shops 15 mins drive away in Dingwall where there is also a train station. The coach house is well placed for touring the islands with day trips to Skye and Orkney both possible. Aviemore is a 1hr drive with Glasgow and Edinburgh 3 1/2 hrs by car. The coach house is an ideal location for bird watching with Golden Eagles & Red Kites frequently seen in the Glen. There is excellent fishing in the area (The River Conon is a short stroll from the coach house) and the golf courses of Castle Stuart and Nairn...
Getting around
You will need a car as public transport is scarce. Do bring or hire bikes as the scenery is truly spectacular and the roads are very quiet and with many off road tracks.
