Holiday Rental House
Tigh Mo Mhiann is a real croft cottage built of stone with cosy timber-lined walls and the real fires give it a homely atmosphere. It is tastefully modernised with a lovely bathroom and large kitchen-diner. The bedrooms are upstairs. The stairs are narrow and steep and will not suit those with impaired mobility.

If you are looking at this without having given dates, you will see a misleading 'price per night'. Please ignore that. TripAdvisor insists on showing the lowest possible price which, in this case, is the incremental one night rate for adding a WEEKNIGHT to a stay in November. If you enter dates, then you should see the correct price for your stay!

Tigh Mo Mhiann is situated towards the edge of the village of Roybridge in the West Highlands. For many of our guests, the destination is the Nevis Range ski and downhill biking centre. Among the other attractions are walking, fishing, climbing, visiting castles and distilleries and the highland towns of Fort William, Mallaig and Fort Augustus (and Loch Ness).

Cute little cottage and nice and warm too. The facilities were all good and the kitchen reasonably well equipped. The stairs are a bit scary, particularly for those who need a bathroom visit at night.
There is lots of information about the need to recycle properly - clearly the owners have had problems with guests not complying in the past.

Overpriced, but good location.
Lovely surroundings that are calming with a few walks around the area. Tight to get into the driveway, but we managed to get the hang of it after a day. Ample parking space with a greeting from a few hens.
Loads of coal and a few leftovers to get us started with a fire. Easy to light the living room fire that made the place warm and cosy. The additional electric heaters were great, as the blow out ones in the kitchen and living room blew out cold air.
Windows in bathroom and kitchen don't open fully due to blinds not positioned well, so if cooking expect to hear the smoke alarms.
Some replacements required for the kitchen floor, blind fixings, sofas and mattress.
Just about enough cooking pans and utensils, but need replacing for a few as teflon is coming off which is harmful to health.
Bathroom was okay, but shower cubicle is small and water dribbles out. I had to clean the bathroom before we used it as hair in bath and shower wasn't the cleanest.
Freezer space is very small, but okay as Fort William wasn't far for another couple of food shops during our stay. Co-op in Spean bridge was well stocked with a hot pizza counter and cakes, but beware car park is small and gets very busy. They sell lots for the fire though.
Washing machine needs a clean as that isn't the best and another air dryer would be great. Porch area was great for outdoor gear after being out all day.
Great communication with the owner.
Not a bad stay as close to the things we wanted to do around that part of Scotland.

Thank you for your very comprehensive review. We will look into the issues you raised. We are sorry that the storage heaters were not switched on and were blowing cold air only. Your stay followed a heatwave. For future guests reading this, we do ask guests to contact us immediately if something is wrong. A phone call is all it takes.

Great cottage, ideal for exploring!
A cute little cottage, which was perfectly clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with crockery, pots, dishes etc., just like home.
The cottage is ideally situated for exploring, we visited Fort Willaim, the Glenfinnan Viaduct (Hogwarts Express passed over) and had tickets for the Jacobite Train to Malaig.
The Nevis range is just a few miles up the road and you could visit Skye too!
Great places to eat out too if you don't fancy cooking!

Good cottage
The location is very quiet with big garden surrounding the cottage. Check in is very easy with a keysafe. Everything you need for the kitchen and bathroom is provided except from tea and coffees and only bbc channels on the TV. The double bed was a bit slanted however it didn't effect the experience as we were so tried from climbing ben nevis. Would recommend for people wanting the explore the local area.

Thanks for your review. We will check out the double bed as it certainly shouldn't have any slant. Thanks for letting us know.
For anyone wondering about the TV, it's a smart tv so it can get almost everything but you will need to have your own login for Netflix, Prime etc.

Lovely comfortable cottage in ideal location
This lovely cottage is well equipped with all you could need for a self catering holiday. Ideal location for visiting places in every direction. It's right next to Roybridge train station enabling us to take the train to Rannoch Moor station with wonderful scenery, and a lovely tea room. Other good days out were a drive over to Mallaig, a ride up the Glen Coe chairlift & also a walk from the cottage to the Parallel roads glacial feature.
Would definitely recommend this cottage for a holiday in this area.

Wonderful Cottage
Had a wonderful holiday in this lovely, clean and comfortable cottage. It had everything we needed for our break. The weather was mixed during our stay but that didn't stop us from doing anything. The children loved the chickens that came to visit from next door. The neighbour even brought us some new laid eggs which were delicious. We all loved our evening strolls down by the river, it was so peaceful. The cottage was in a great location for visiting other places aswell. A short drive to Fort William which we did a few times during our stay. The swimming pool there was lovely and the Highland Cinema was a great morning out too. We visited the Nevis Range and went up on the cable cars. Not a great fan of cable cars but once up there the views were amazing and the cafe was good. Well worth the visit. The Jacobite steam train was booked up but were not ones to give up so we used the normal train from Fort William to Mallaig. Again the scenery was beautiful. We got the bus back and saw some more lovely places. We also went up the road to see the parallel lines from the ice age. That was well worth the visit too.
Glencoe which was around an hours drive from the cottage was amazing. The views from up there are unbelievable and the children loved going in the turf house.
We would definitely recommend the cottage as its a great base for visiting lots of different places. There is just so much to see and do. Thanks so much for letting us use your lovely cottage.

Lovely cottage
We had a really lovely couple of days stay at this cute little cottage. Bed linen and towels were clean and fresh as was the whole of the cottage. Nice large porch area with airer for drying stuff if it’s a wet holiday. Lots of walks/hills/mountains to do, especially Ben Nevis if your ready and prepared for achey legs the next day 🤣

Very pleasant little cottage, a good base from which to walk the Munros. Good kitchen/diner and living room. Steep staircase!

If you come by car, the cottage is just a 20 minute drive from Fort William.
It is easy to arrive by train! The overnight sleeper from London stops at Roybridge and the platform is just a two minute walk from the cottage. There are 4 passenger trains per day in each direction to take you to Fort William and other destinations on the West Highland Line.
