October in the Cairngorms
Our third year of hiring a motorhome from Scottish Tourers and again a great vehicle for our ten day holiday. They are well equipped for our needs and cleaned ready for our handover.the staff are great and the booking process is easy and any problems they are on the end of a phone. this year we toured around the Cairngorms to p[laces we had not been before and the bonus was good weather and our visit around the grounds of Balmoral Castle were one of the many highlights.

Autumn tour of Scotland
Our experience with Scottish Tourer was stellar from Day 1. After we contacted them for booking info, they continued to maintain fast and clear communication to answer all our first-timer questions (even once we were on the road). We truly enjoyed traveling with the Barra motorhome, as it was easy to drive, and the vehicle was organized well with enough room for three adults’ storage and space to eat, chat and play cards at night. While we didn’t use the stove/cook top, having a wee toilet and refrigerator onboard was very convenient and helped us make our way independently when needed. We saw and experienced so many outstanding views, people and places across the mainland and Isles Skye and Lewis and having our “home on wheels” made it that much more memorable. Thanks to Dawn, Sabina and team for a first-rate journey!

First timers!
Our first mobile home trip. Went through the Highlands to spend 4 days on Skye. Autumnal colours made it a very special trip and Scottish Tourer and vehicle were both great. If you are 6’4” though your view out of the windscreen is a bit limited upwards, but only a minor complaint, otherwise would recommend highly.

A great holiday & motorhome
We had a great holiday in Scotland-our first time in a motor home. Scottish Tourer were great, really friendly, the van was well equipped and they well placed for the start of our journey.. As it was our first time we decided not try any wild camping but stay on a site each night and found some stunning locations. Unfortunately the van we had booked had developed an engine fault which couldn’t be sorted in the short gap between hires. An alternative was provided which proved just as good for our needs. We found having an automatic particularly useful with some of the windy roads and hills and was worth having. Would recommend Scottish Tourer for anyone looking to hire a motorhome in Scotland

Great Company, Great Tourers
Firstly, the service was excellent, communication was friendly, clear and accomodating (5 Stars) The actual van was BRILLIANT!! Clean, well equiped, comfortable and easy to use and drive. It really was a pleasure dealing with Scottish Tourers at every level and we would certainly recommend!

The Cairngorms in the Motorhome
We recently hired a motorhome from this family-run business and had an absolutely wonderful experience. The motorhome was excellent, equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable trip. A special thanks to Dawn for making the collection and drop-off process so smooth and hassle-free. The owners were lovely people to deal with, and their service made the entire experience even better. Highly recommended!

Loueur à fuir absolument
Loueur à fuir absolument !
Notre pire expérience de location de véhicule, avec cette société malhonnête, qui nous a extorqué 1300 EUR.
Quelques jours après avoir pris possession du véhicule, nous avons découvert que le réservoir d'eaux usées fuyait. En nous allongeant sous le véhicule, nous avons constaté que le système d’évacuation avait été grossièrement réparé avec des colliers de serrage et du « duct tape ». Lors de la remise du véhicule, l'employé nous avait même expliqué qu’il avait effectué ces réparations avant de nous le livrer.
Nous avons immédiatement signalé la fuite en envoyant des photos par email. À la restitution du véhicule, ils nous ont annoncé que notre caution de 1000 GBP serait retenue, en avançant que nous étions sortis des routes goudronnées ce que le contrat de location interdit. Cela est évidemment totalement faux, ce que le GPS du véhicule peut prouver.
Tandisque nous tentions de leur expliquer que ceci était abusif dans la mesure où le réservoir était déjà endommagé avant notre location, leur navette, que nous avions payée 95 GBP pour nous conduire à l’aéroport, est partie sans nous.
La responsable, désagréable et de mauvaise foi, a d'abord prétendu que nous avions « raté le bus », puis nous a accusés d’être agressifs, prétextant qu’ils devaient « protéger leur personnel ». Nous sommes une famille de quatre, avec deux jeunes enfants, et en aucun cas agressifs ! La seule personne agressive était leur manager.
Nous avons finalement dû appeler la police pour obtenir de l'aide afin de regagner Édimbourg et nous expliquer les recours possibles dans ce litige. Démarches malheureusement longues et coûteuses depuis la France, ce dont profite Scottish Tourer pour procéder ainsi !
Nous déconseillons vivement cette société et sommes disposés à être contactés pour partager plus en détail notre terrible expérience.

This has been our worst customer experience since opening in 1986, in the 38 years of being in bussiness, this was the first time we had to call the police and ask for support to have a customer removed from the premises.

Scottish NC500 TRIP
My wife and i hired a beautiful Motorhome from Scottish tourer and this was a very special start to our adventure. the staff were very professional and helpful and showed us everything we needed to know and made me feel at ease being my first time. Big thank you to the team making the start of our trip perfect.

Jura 2, 11 nights in Scotland
Thank you Scottish Tourer we had a brilliant 11 night hire in the Jura 2 around Scotland.
It gave us the freedom to map out our travels on the move to avoid heavy rain & avoid the expensive crowded caravan parks. I highly recommend downloading the searchforsites to find your nights park up. We were averaging £5 to £ 10 a night and parked up in some spectacular places.

Great experience
Scottish Tourer provided us a lovely and unforgettable experience. The service provided was excellent, very straightforward communication. During the pickup the Scottish Tourer team showed us everything we needed to know about the motorhome in order to have a smooth road trip,during our trip we had some questions and they were very prompt answering. We could see they are proud of their motorhomes and we did our best to deliver it back in the same good conditions they handled it to us. Can be quite challenging to drive a larger vehicle specially in very narrow roads like in Isle of Skye, that's why is so important you listen and follow their advices, this way you should be fine and safe (and get your deposit back) We rented the Iona, perfect for a couple, enough space, cozy and comfortable. We look forward to go back in Scotland and rent with Scottish Tourer again.

About the neighbourhood
Our location in Perth is a few hundred yards from the main A9 route north which leads to the highland. Perth is considered the gateway to the highlands and Islands so we are very conveniently located for travel to all the scenic areas of Scotland.

The motor home we supply is small enough to get into most car parks and supermarkets sop shopping should not be a problem, We also have cycles for hire which can be carried on the rear of the motor home should you need to park away from any amenities.
