4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 June 2015 for a stay in May 2015

For some people this place may seem a bit out of the way, but we thought it was great. It's not really much of a drive back into town if you need anything. All facilities were generally ok, the only things I could say were not up to scratch are the showers - way too small, but we found this to be a common problem for this type of rental in Ireland, the other being the freezing cold beds, I would have thought a simple electric blanket would be better than having to heat the whole house up. Other than that the views are fantastic, great peace and quiet, highly recommend this for anyone.

We stayed two nights at PineView Farmhouse. It was a comfortable and scenic home complete with sheep all around and great neighbors!
We would love to go back and stay a week! Owner should probably advertise that a surcharge on "electricity used" would be added to your stay. It was only 36 euros but a surprise. The owner even met us in Donegal town to show us the way to the property.

About the neighbourhood
This large traditional stone built property is surrounded by countryside and views of the Blue Stack mountains - 2 miles from Mountcharles and 3 miles from Donegal town. The house is well equipped and TV's are provided in each bedroom. Outside there is a large play area with swings and a picnic bench. This is the ideal spot for a peaceful break with fabulous coastal walks at nearby Mountcharles and Rossnowlagh, the Blue Stack drive through the mountains, championship golf at Murvagh or why not try a boat trip to see the seals or deep sea fishing?<BR>Donegal Town is a thriving market town and is an ideal base from which to explore the south and west of the County.
