About the neighbourhood
James Tymon cottage stands on 30 acres of farmland by the bank of the Owenmore river at Moydough,Gurteen, Co Sligo, Ireland. The cottage has many protected and prepared walks radiating out from the house. So why not take a stroll on your own private grounds along by the river, up through the trees to the old horse chestnut or back through the characterful wrought iron gate on an oak lined greenway to the meadows beyond. The village of Gurteen is just 1km away on a quiet rural road. It has a well earned reputation for its traditional Irish music scene which can be sampled in the local pubs particularly The Roisin Dubh. The village has an excellent supermarket which is open every day, a pharmacy, petrol station post office and a hardware store. As our guests tell us the cottage is a great ...
How to get there
Dublin airport has the most flights with more international carriers than the regional airports. The cottage can be reached in approximately two and a half hours from the airport or Dublin port.I will send you on directions from where ever you are starting out to the cottage from. I meet all of my guests on arrival no matter what the time. So no worries about collecting keys or wondering where things are etc.
