Boasting a thriving local community, the town offers excellent amenities with independent shops, tea rooms and a variety of pubs and restaurants for visitors to enjoy. Surrounded by glorious countryside, this chocolate box town has an endless number of challenging cycle routes and rewarding walking trails to discover, along with more relaxing options such as visiting the many beautiful towns and villages of the North Cotswolds including Stow-on-the-Wold, Broadway and Blockley. The historic cities of Bath and Oxford are also accessible for days out. This quintessential Cotswold cottage has been refurbished by its owners to a high standard, with a clean, stylish finish and modern facilities including wireless internet access, two TVs and a well-equipped kitchen. The addition of soft pastel colours throughout the cottage, along with the wooden floors downstairs and the Cotswold stone fireplace with gas flame effect fire, add lovely touches of character. Brook Cottage sleeps four guests, in two bedrooms, with a lovely ground floor shower room. There is an enclosed patio garden and on-street parking is readily available close to the property. Brook Cottage is perfect for a small family or group of friends seeking a stylish property in the centre of a much loved Cotswold market town. Please consult us prior to booking if you wish to discuss the possibility of having more than four guests at the property. Infants who sleep in a cot do not count towards the occupancy figure, however, due to space restrictions, the occupancy figure may only be exceeded by one additional infant. Young children should be supervised in this room at all times. Initial consumables A small quantity of initial consumables is provided for your convenience (eg. tea, coffee, sugar, dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid, soap, washing powder, toilet rolls, etc), however, you should not expect the quantity of these provisions to be sufficient for the duration of your stay. Accessibility, health and safety There is restricted head height in the master bedroom in the eaves which guests should be aware of. The smoke and CO detectors operate on a sound only basis and, therefore, those who have serious impairment of hearing may not be able to hear the alarm systems and could be at risk. Corporate and commercial bookings Unfortunately, this property does not accept corporate, work related or commercial bookings of any kind. Photographs In order to provide you with as much detail of our properties as possible, we sometimes use wide angle photography, which can make certain rooms, or spaces, appear larger than they actually are. About the neighbourhood
Chipping Campden is one of the main market towns in the North Cotswolds, built by medieval traders with wealth created from the wool trade. With many thatched cottages, this is one of the most picturesque towns in the region. A notable feature of the town is the Market Hall which was built in 1627. Originally thought to be used in the wool trade, the main function of the hall was actually to give shelter to local cheese, poultry and butter sellers.
Getting around
The Cotswolds is a rural location and whilst there is access to public transport, it is highly recommended that you have a car.
