    Light, airy, comfortable, second-floor apartment (no lift) intra muros (in the heart of the old walled city) St. Malo, Brittany, northern France. The apartment is well equipped and very comfortable. It has a great location for the beach, sailing, markets, a vast range of bars and restaurants. St Malo and the surrounding region has a fascinating history and there are numerous lovely walks of various lengths all along and around the coast. The ramparts which encircle the city offer changing views every day due to the impressive thirteen meter tides and tide permitting there are three islands to walk out to, a sea and indoor pool, land yachting, sailing, boat trips across the bay and down the river Rance. There are a lot of choices. There are a lot of choices. It is possible to drive to the Little Balcony entrance to drop off things and people but parking is outside the walls and free from November to May. During the summer months there's an hourly fee between 9am and 7pm. St Malo Intra muros is delightful and quiet in the off season and heaving with life, music and entertainment in the summer. There are ferries on the doorstep, an airport within 15 minutes, good bus routes and train services from the nearby station, plus car hire which make St Malo easy to access and make going elsewhere simple.More

    Please be aware that during the colder months the Little Balcony is heated to 20degrees which is the environmentally recommended temperature. Should you wish for an increase in this we will take a meter reading on your arrival and on your departure and you will be charged per additional KW hour used. I hope you understand the need for this.

    A true gem

    We loved The Little Balcony. It is spotlessly clean, spacious and has everything we need to make our stay comfortable. A wonderful location and Annie the host is friendly and hospitable. Enormous thanks.

    Great location, great hostess!
