This 65 sq.mt apartment opens up onto a central room comprising the whole day area of the property, fitted with oak parquet flooring. The first area of the room, complete with a window overlooking the roofs of the city, offers an iron table designed by Lissoni and surrounded by a wooden bench and by chairs in different colours and sizes. The lamp on the table is an original vintage product by Oluce. An olive green open plan kitchen is located in front of the table and is fully equipped, complete with resin surfaces, induction burners and decorated with graphic applications appositely made for this apartment. The wall of the kitchen is also fitted with a series of wooden shelves, where a TV and some period lamps are located. The living area includes a vintage brown leather “Coronado” couch by Afra & Tobia Scarpa and an armchair dating back to the ‘60es, covered with colourful fabrics. A collection of coffee tables completes the room, while an austere handmade lamp by Rosewood Tube Wall Light decorates the wall. The window of the living area overlooks the street. The wall opposite to the kitchen leads to an anteroom which gives access to the sleeping area and where a built-in closet hides a washing machine and a dryer. The master bedroom is located on the left and is furnished with a double bed (160cm), a built-in closet and two iron bedside table with copper lamps. The first bathroom is located right next this room and it is decorated with gorgeous ceramics and fitted with a tub, a lacquered molten rock basin, a WC and a bidet. The door on the right of the anteroom leads to the second bedroom, offering a double bed (150cm), two leather bedside tables which can also be used as stools and a built-in closet. A door on the left side of the room leads to the second bathroom with a shower stall, a lacquered molten rock basin and a WC and a bidet. A wooden staircase leads to the mezzanine floor, where two single beds (90cm each, they can be joined together) are located. The wall behind the bedhead is made of transparent plexiglas and allows to overlook the day area. The opposite wall is fitted with wooden shelves and with a closet hiding the boiler. The attic window of the mezzanine can be opened, closed and screened with an electric system managed by a remote control. Extra facilities: -Washer/dryer -I-phone stereo -Nespresso coffee machine -Kettle **Warning: this apartment has no air conditioning. Area The apartment is located in the 4th arrondissement, not far from the Picasso Museum, the Hotel de Ville, Notre Dame, the Isle Saint Louis, the Centre Pompidou and Place des Vosges, built by Henry IV at the beginning of the 1600s and constructed in a particular brick and stone manner found only in Paris. The Marais is a typically bourgeois neighbourhood which covers areas of the 3rd and 4th arrondissements, on the Rive Droite of Paris (right bank of the Seine). Most of the buildings in this district are very old. It partly explains the very small streets. This area is full of tales from the past. It is very rich thanks to its historical background and its location. It has been a key part of Paris since almost the very foundation of the city itself. During the 12th Century the Templars eliminated the marshlands north of Philippe Auguste’s borders, and starting from the 16th Century the aristocrats started building vast residences in the area, a tendency which was infinitely increased after the creation of Place Royale, later transformed into Place des Vosges by Henri IV in 1605. The eventual decision to move the royal court to Versailles caused a drastic decline to the area, and Haussman’s later movement to re-establish the city saw an active renovation exclusively in the Marais. In 1969 André Malraux declared the Marais to be the first protected area, with all its museums, art galleries and historical sites. Public transports The closest metro stop is SAINT PAUL (line 1), BASTILLE (lines 1, 5, 8) or SULLY MORLAND (line 7). Parking The closest pay parking garage is the Parking Société Parisienne in 16 Rue St Antoine, at 70 metres. Additional amenities: Full KitchenMore
