We had booked a weeks stay here but when we arrived the property was totally unsuitable. The property shared a courtyard with the neibouring house but this was being refurbished and the courtyard was like a builders yard and there was also an open drain there. At the moment this property is not suitable for rent. We were however refunded our rent for the week within a few days.

As I told you on the phone, We are not responsable the courtyard of our neighbors. The backyard does not belong to the house.
The cottage is always very nice for the holidays. In June, Australian people stayed a month without any worries. Regards

Wonderful Base for Honfleur and Srrounding Area
The cottage was wonderful - clean, comfortable and brilliantly located on a quiet road 5 minute walk from the harbour and with parking outside so no need to worry about the car. The cottage has everything you need for a great stay only be warned the spiral stairs are steep and need care at all times!
It had been 10 years since our last visit to Honfleur but we fell in love again with this charming French resort. Such a perfect place to relax and soak up the French ambience. Locally you can be at the landing beaches/Bayuex in under an hour (50 miles away) or 15 minutes to the fantastic beach and boardwalk at Treauville.
We had such a good break will be back again in the future

Delightful Cottage
Our 3rd cottage stay in Honfleur and we've picked a winner each time!
Boudin Cottage is a really nice cottage ~ it has all you need (almost!). Set on 3 levels, it's beautifully presented and furnished in a mix of shabby chic/traditional French style... clean and uncluttered.
It was more than comfy for us (2) and could easily cope with 2 couples or a small family. The upstairs bedroom is excellent, but we didn't actually use it!!. We used the middle floor bedroom which has a living area attached and also a further single bed. Internet was good and the cottage was quiet.
A couple of bad points are: parking can be a problem (we were lucky exceot for one day), the toilet is downstairs (down the spiral type staircase (adventure for kids, problem for elderly!) and the lack of a BBQ/yard/garden area. Oh, and you really need to get some sharp knives in the kitchen!!
All in all, delightful place to stay. And special mention for Catherine, the delightful key-holder.

'Unique', quirky and historic
This property is very conveniently located for the centre of Honfleur, with the beautiful old harbour being only 5 minutes walk away. There is plenty to see in the town itself, which really buzzes in the evenings, especially at the weekend. It was also a great base for trips further afield with Bayeux, Rouen and Etretat all definitely worth exploring.
The property itself is quite unique, if a little eccentric - although it has three floors, with five of us there it still felt a bit on the small side. During our stay we had a couple of plumbing issues which the owner, to his credit, sorted out very quickly.
Would I recommend this property to a friend? I think it depends on the number in the party - 2 or 3 would probably be most comfortable. Also, take note of the information provided by the owner that the stairs are quite steep - you wouldn't be able to manage them if you had any mobility issues.

Great location, clean and well heated accommodation
Lovely clean and well heated accommodation in a good location for Honfleur and Normandy. Would have liked more comfortable sofas for evenings in (I am quite tall so personal preference) and the spiral staircases are a lovely feature but could be tricky to navigate with young children or older people but otherwise a good base for sightseeing. Excellent power shower!

Close to everything yet quiet and very comfortable
Our week in this lovely cottage was quiet and peaceful. It is close to the bus station and a super market while the butcher to the right at the end of the street has a wonderful selection of meat. The Bassin is a five minute walk while the Main Street is also close and to the left from the end of the street.
The cottage has 3 levels and a steep and narrow staircase with the main bedroom on the third level, a second bedroom and a living space on the second and the bathroom, kitchen and living space on the ground floor. It is well heated and very well equipped with everything you could need. We hired our linen rather than carry it with us and it was clean and of good quality. Catherine met us at the property to let us in and despite limited English on her part and limited French on mine, everything was worked out!

A jewel box nestled in old Honfleur
My husband and I spent six wonderful nights in Boudin Cottage which is nestled on a side street in Honfleur just a five minute walk from the harbour. The cottage, a house really, was on three levels with a lovely living space on the ground floor, and two bedrooms on the top two levels. The kitchen was well appointed with everything you needed to make meals. The washer and dryer were easy to use. The cottage is over 200 years old and you can lean out the kitchen window and easily imagine horse drawn carts rumbling down the cobble-stoned street. Our host Olivier was wonderful to deal with and very accommodating to my many questions. We used Honfleur as a base to explore Normandy-the D-Day beaches, Calvados country and Bayeaux are all within an hours drive.
My only reservation for older travellers would be the staircases which are very steep spirals with a rope to hold on to, and not for the faint of heart or anyone with balance or mobility issues. Otherwise an absolute delight!

Charming cottage in a lovely town
Boudin cottage is a charming place with exposed beams and historic ambience but a modern well equipped kitchen. It was very clean and comfortably furnished. The shops and many restaurants of the pretty old harbor are a brief walk from the front door. We found it an ideal home base for our visit to Normandy.

Wonderful stay
Have just returned from a delightful trip to Honfleur. We rented Boudin Cottage for 2 adults and 2 children under 7. We were met by a lovely lady who showed us where everything was and was kind enough to return to check us out at 6am on our last day.
The cottage was perfect - great location, clean and tastefully decorated. It is laid out over 3 floors with a good sized master bedroom on the top floor; a small bedroom and sitting room(with a single bed) on the middle floor and the bathroom (with washing machine), kitchen and another sitting/dining room on the bottom floor. The stairs are v. steep which didn't bother us at all but could be a little troublesome for older/less agile people. We walked everywhere with boulangeries, fromageries and supermarches only a short walk away.
A lovely holiday - thank you.
