Villa
Agarrus is a large house located 4km from the centre of Aix-en-Provence in the exclusive and tranquil area of the city known as Pinchinats.
We look forward to welcoming you to Agarrus, but please note that no parties, bachelor/bachelorette groups or similar celebrations or groups are permitted.
The Space
The 300m² house is found within elevated grounds of 7,000m² which include a very large terrace overlooking the heated swimming pool, a pétanque pitch and a putting area; also included is ample parking within the property accessed through a security gate.
Inside there are 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, 4 toilets and an extensive living/kitchen/dining area surrounded by veranda windows which open on to the terracing on two sides of the house.

Nice comftable house , only complaint was heating wasn’t great at night and pool was not heated !
Very convenient for Aix de Provence , lovely trip to Casais ( 1 hours drive) , very interesting nearby wine producing chateau with contemporary art exhibitions around the grounds , House lovely situation and very relaxing if you want a lazy day.

Thank you Sarah for this review. As mentioned on the website, the pool is heated at 28°C (82°F) from 1st of May to 30th of October, you came at the end of November when the weather in Aix is too cold to heated the pool. You are welcome back whenever you want during the warmest period.

Provence Getaway
My family and friends had a wonderful time in Aix. This home was the perfect getaway. Bertrand was waiting for us to show us all the in's and out's of his beautiful home. The home is very close to downtown Aix, but also far enough away to offer the seclusion and privacy we were looking for. The only downfall of the trip was due to the season we rented. We could not take advantage of the lovely pool and outdoor amenities as it was cool. We have it on our bucket list to rent the property again in warm weather in order to use the pool and the outdoor surroundings.

Loved the house. Beautiful peaceful location.
Bernard was delightful and helpful.
We had a few problems with the pool heating but Bernard responded quickly.
Easy access to Aix and some great day trip recomendations from Bernard

Thanks Sarah for your review; just remember that at night the weather was exceptionally cold with 6°C (42°F)that's why the pool temperature was not the 28°C (82°F) as expected.

Fabulous
Stayed at Villa Agarrus for a week using as a base for the Euros.This place is located in a lovely quiet setting but only 10 mins drive to the lovely vibrant city centre,full of great restraurants,bars,cafesThe daily markets are a must.A car is essential but there are lovely places to visit all around.Marseille is 30/40 mins drive and well worth the visit.The Villa has absolutely everything you need,it really is a home from home.The pool is absolutely fantastic and a good size.The grounds are very large with a table tennis table and French bowls and various areas to sit in the shade.All 6 of us had a wonderful time here. Bertrand,a really lovely guy, was at hand to greet us and gave us useful information for our stay.You will not be disappointed.

Charming location just outside Aix
Charming location in the hills above Aix en Provence. So handy for popping into town and perusing the daily markets, but equally well situated for exploring the wider area, in particular
Cassis, which we love.
Bertrand, the owner, could not have been more helpful and friendly.

Des vacances parfaites, sous le soleil de février d'Aix en Provence
Nous avons adoré cette superbe maison où l'on ressent immédiatement de "bonnes ondes".
Les chambres sont belles et spacieuses avec des salles de bain parfaites et très propres. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié les déjeuners au soleil sur la terrasse qui surplombe la piscine et, même en février, nous n'avions pas froid. Les soirées dans les grands canapés devant la cheminée avec un bon verre de vin étaient un vrai plaisir.
Nous avons également beaucoup aimé la ville d'Aix en Provence, à 10 minutes de la villa, avec toutes ses petites ruelles, ses cafés, fontaines et petits restaurants.
Mille mercis à Bertrand pour son accueil et ses bons conseils sur les visites et les bonnes adresses qu'il nous à donné.
Nous espérons sincèrement pouvoir revenir dans cette maison en été et profiter aussi de la piscine !

The Perfect Holiday Rental
We spent a wonderful week in this lovely home and cannot stress enough how happy we were from start to finish. We had several email contacts with the owner Bertrand, who is the most delightful person (and speaks English very well too). He could not do enough to make us feel welcome upon arrival. The house is so well equipped with everything you could need - right down to the bedroom slippers! The kitchen is well stocked with the food basics (which we replace upon leaving) and has a good range of pots, pans, dishes, etc.
The house is located in a lovely quiet area, which is only a 10 minute drive from Aix. It is a little difficult to get to initially, but with Bertrand's clear instructions, we found it relatively easily. There is a lovely decent sized pool in a gorgeous garden. There is also a very pleasant terrace with a BBQ where we used to have our breakfast overlooking the pool.
If you are looking for a quiet relaxing holiday in very pleasant surroundings, and a hassle free rental experience - this is it. I would certainly return to this home if I were to make another trip to the area.

Excellent! The perfect base for your stay in Provence...
We had such a fabulous time at Agarrus, it was the perfect base for our stay in Provence. We stayed with 2 young children (1 and 3.5 years) and they loved the big, beautiful gardens. The house is very well set out and the kitchen has everything you will need to cook up all the beautiful produce you will find at the local markets.
The house is in a great location, away from the hustle and bustle of Aix en Provence and very quiet and relaxing. We highly recommend this beautiful house to anyone wanting to visit Provence.

Amazing! the house, the garden, the pool, the atmosphere were fantastic
The owner is very friendly and extremely helpful. We were a large group of friends to go there, and we really made the best of the house and garden, and almost never left the house. The main town is very close by so we were able to get the real provencal experience, with the beautiful buildings and cobble streets. The food market is just amazing with fresh veggies and fruit grown in the nearby area. Really cosy experience. For fun and games.

Un séjour fantastique!
La maison est très agréablement située au milieu de la Provence et du chant des cigales.
Ce mas est composé de 4 chambres décorées avec gout donnant directement sur une terrasse ombragée et permettant à chacun de trouver son indépendance.
Plusieurs petits coins permettent à chaque couple de s'isoler sur une petite table et de garder un œil sur la piscine très stylée.
Il y a de nombreux transats au bord de cette belle piscine et un abri en bois protège du soleil au moment de la sieste.
La verdure est très présente et permet de passer un excellent séjour au calme.
Ces vacances entre amis restent un de mes meilleurs souvenirs.
