An excellent spacious and well equipped apartment which we found to be an ideal base for visiting the city with our teenage son. It is situated in a 'lived in' suburb of the city, in a quiet street but close to U and S bahn connection into the centre (only 10 minutes away). Tickets are cheap and easy to buy....

My husband and I stayed in the "Gold Else" apartment, and loved it. Really clean and spacious, custom-decorated, with beautiful exposed brick and an amazing rooftop view. The location is good; it's definitely in the city, but I'm pretty sensitive to noise and found it very quiet. There's a little bar on the street below where you can do laundry...

Management response:

Thank you for staying with us, Jenny. We would love to host you both again. Kind regards, Michaela & Kevin

About the neighbourhood
The Prenzlauer Berg with its Wilhelmenian style is nowadays one of the most popular residential areas in Berlin. Developed as a working class neighbourhood, the derelict Kiez became a refuge for students, dissenters and opponents during the GDR regime. After the fall of the Berlin Wall the urban, but still ruined flair attracted mainly artists and creatives, who found an inspiring but affordable living and working environment. Today most of the old buildings are reconstructed beautifully, numerous cafes and cultural institutions evolved and a colourful population settled down. Therefore the Prenzlauer Berg is still a fascinating and versatile metropolitan habitat.

The Paul-Robeson-Straße and the nearby Arnim Square are a typical urban living environment in the hearth of... more

How to get there
From the Airport Tegel:
A taxi ride will cost you about 15-20 Euro but the public transport is also a good idea. Take the TXL bus to Beusselstraße and then transfer to the S-Bahn (fast train). Take the circle line S41 (clockwise direction) to Schönhauser Allee. For the whole ride you will need a ticket for the fare zones AB.
From the station Schönhauser Allee please follow the Schönhauser Allee to the north. After approximately 200 meters the Paul-Robeson-Straße branches off to the left. Our apartment building with the number 43 is located after a few meters on the left hand side.

From the Airport Schönefeld:
A taxi ride from the airport is quite expensive and the public transport connection is very good. So we recommend taking the S-Bah... more
