About the neighbourhood
Along with its many restaurants and bars in Orange Square - Dominating the square is the most important building in the town, The Church of Saint Mary whose construction began in 1618. The main facade of the building is adorned with a beautiful red stone entrance worked in Baroque style while the interior consists of three sections which underwent restoration after the 1936 Civil War. The Church is open and worth a visit.
Most of the buildings in the Orange Square or Plaza de los Naranjos were built between 1485 and 1568.
The sand stone Orange Square Fountain was erected in 1504 and commissioned by the first Mayor of Christian Marbella.

Close to the apartment is the local Town Hall for the Old Town of Marbella where you can visit and pick up a map/guide to the area and places to visit.

Airport: Malaga: 51.0 km
Easyjet, Ryanair, BA, Monarch, BMI Baby, Iberica, as well as a host of other airlines, all fly to Malaga Airport on a regular basis.

There is a wide selection of car hire companies both within the airport terminal and close by should you require one. Taxis are also readily available.

There is a direct, non stop bus link from the airport to Marbella bus station (approximately 5 Euros fare). The journey to the Marbella Bus Station takes approximately 45 minutes and is direct. There is a taxi rank outside the Bus Station, the apartment is approximately 10 minutes drive from the station.

As an alternative airport, Gibraltar airport has flights arriving from the UK with 3 flights per day from Easy Jet, Monarch or BA and is approximately 50 kms from Marbella. Car hire is available at th...
