It was a fabulous location, central to the city and steeped in character. The location and property deserved a 5 star. However, what we found lacking, as other visitors found, the communication was poor. About the neighbourhood
Our guests universally compliment us on the ideal location of the apartment. The quiet cobbled street has no through traffic and restricted parking. In one direction the Es Baluard museum and high battlements are just 50 meters away. With the vibrant Santa Catalina area just 5 minutes further walk. In the other direction, towards the cathedral there are a maze of back streets containing Tapas bars, wine bars, eclectic shops and restaurants to suit all tastes and budgets.
We are also near to the waterfront and marina with a variety of restaurants as well as easy access to the coastal walking and cycling paths that go for miles in each direction.
The nearest beach is a pleasant 15 minute walk away
Getting around
With many places of interest within easy walking distance most of our guests do not worry about hiring a car. Local buses can take you all over the area but there is also a nearby taxi rank. There are several nearby bike hire options as well and well provisioned cycle routes all over the city.

Should you want to explore further afield and decide to hire a car there are a number of paid parking options nearby.

Palma airport has a large number of flights all year round, Easyjet, Ryanair and First Choice are just some examples. Ferry from Barcelona or Denia. Car hire is easy at Palma airport but is only necessary if you plan to explore the rest of the island. Hertz, Hiper, Hasso are all at the airport.
