GUEST ACCESS You will have access to the entire property and it is important that you are respectful towards your neighbours and keep noise to a minimum after 10pm. Our standard check-in time is at 3pm and our standard check-out time is at 11am. You may occasionally hear noise from neighbouring apartments, as most buildings in Madrid aren’t soundproofed! INTERACTION WITH GUESTS This home is being managed by an award-winning property management service team who will do everything they can to ensure you have a fantastic stay! If you have any questions, please get in touch through this website. THE NEIGHBORHOOD You will find that the studio is located in between the Goya, Salamanca and Retiro neighborhoods, with plenty to do and many shops, restaurants and amenities to discover. For instance, boasting wide and sweeping boulevards, grand and beautiful 19th-Century buildings and refined and affluent residents, the Barrio de Salamanca is one of the most desirable areas in Madrid. Home to foreign embassies and high-end hotels, the area is also one of the top destinations for fashion shopping and gourmet eating in the city. For shopping lovers, head to Calle de Serrano, which can be considered one of the top fashion streets in Spain and is home to a large number of men’s and women’s stores, as well as El Corte Inglés (Spain’s largest department store chain) with some of the most famous brand names in the world on offer. Art enthusiasts should take a trip to the Museo Lázaro Galdiano; an astonishing private exhibition of paintings personally collected by Galdiano during his life, including works by Goya, Velázquez, Constable and Hieronymus Bosch. Also, as you may have heard, Retiro is one of the most beautiful districts of the city and has plenty of fun and exciting things to do related to history, music and culture. Here you will find the biggest “pinacoteca” of the world - El Museo del Prado, thats holds amazing works from foreign and Spanish artists such as the great Goya, El Greco, Rembrandt and Velázquez. The sheer number of masterpieces can be a little overwhelming so allow yourself plenty of time to see the collection. One block to the east of the Prado you’ll find Parque del Retiro, the perfect place to get lost and to escape from the hustle and bustle from the city. Located right at the heart of Madrid, you will be able to rent small boats at the lake, chill out on the grass while drinking a cold drink, read a book for hours without been disturbed or else to enjoy some live music with family or friends. The iconic sculptural fountains of Cibeles and Neptuno represent the memory of the great greek gods and serve as meeting points in the capital city. Real Madrid and Atlético de Madrid, the main soccer clubs in the city, usually celebrate their victories here. Goya and Salamanca neighborhoods have long been known as a beacon of fine Spanish dining and if you want to sample the best in authentic national cuisine, head to Álbora with its Michelin-starred menu, delicious tapas options and surprisingly affordable prices. Meanwhile, Shalakabula is one of the district’s most popular eateries, with its Spanish cuisine with Asian-inspired fusion menu. Platea is a unique and intriguing foodie experience. Located in a converted 1950s theatre, it is made up of a number of individual street food stalls with a wide range of food and drink available. For an evening drink you are spoiled for choice in the affluent neighbourhood of Salamanca, try Entre Cáceres y Badajoz for a bull-fighting themed no-frills local tavern. You will get a hearty plate of tapas with each drink you order and the atmosphere is friendly and casual. Huerta de Carabaña, meanwhile, is a botanical cocktail bar where you can sample delicious organic cocktails into the evening. GETTING AROUND You will be very well located, as the flat sits in between the Goya neighborhood and the famous neighborhood of El Retiro. Most of the attractions in Madrid will be a walk away.
