This small (and it is small) slice of Rome offers all of the old city highlights within walking distance, a glorious array of restaurants on its doorstep and a wonderful, considerate host. A perfectly sublime location for a get away you'll never want to leave.

Management response:

Thanks! We are very happy that you enjoyed the stay in our apartment. We do always are best to make our guests feel at home. Ciao"

We greatly enjoyed our visit to Rome and loved staying in this apartment! It is in the perfect location in Trastevere. It's within walking distance to all of the major sites, and we walked everywhere! The neighborhood is full of amazing restaurants and bars. And, even though the neighborhood gets pretty busy, the apartment was quiet. The apartment had everything...

Reviewed 4 June 2015 for a stay in July 2014

My wife and I stayed here in July of 2014 and loved this apartment. Hundreds of restaurants right out the front door but dead quiet at night. Things to consider: the apartment is up a couple of flights of stairs and there was no WI FI in July of 2014

Management response:

Hello, thanks for appreciating our apartment. From September 2014 the apartment has free WIFI I hope to have you again our guests Maurizio

About the neighbourhood
Trastevere is a rione XIII of Rome, on the west bank of the Tiber, south of Vatican City. Its name comes from the Latin trans Tiberim, meaning literally "beyond the Tiber". To the north, Trastevere borders on to the XIV rione, Borgo.
In Rome's Regal period (753-509 BC), the area across the Tiber belonged to the hostile Etruscans: the Romans named it Ripa Etrusca (Etruscan bank). Rome conquered it to gain control of and access to the river from both banks, but was not interested in building on that side of the river. In fact, the only connection between Trastevere and the rest of the city was a small w...
