About the neighbourhood
The area is one of the most ancient of Verona, as the hills hosted the primitive inhabitants of the area 6000 years ago and the Romans made the hill the place for their temples. The Roman Theater is well preserved and in summertime hosts a series of comedies and ballets and other performances, it is just 50 meter away form the property. In from of the Theater you can see the romantic Ponte Pietra stone bridge, crossing the bridge you enter the downtown of Verona. You may also want to discover the narrow streets and hidden gardens going up the hill just in the back of the property. Nice restaurants, pizzerias and cafes are just around the corner: you get plenty of choice!
Getting around
You can walk or bike in the city center, climb the Torre dei Lamberti, visit the Coliseum Arena and the many museums and exhibitions in Verona. Check out for music, dance and art events: Verona has a rich program to offer. You can also visit nearby Garda Lake, the Lessinia mountains and pay a visit to Mantova or Venice, both reachable by train or car.
