Elegantly furnished with a rich combination of antique furniture and modern day comforts, the apartment is found on the first floor of a beautiful 14th century building which looks out onto Borgo San Jacopo, a characteristic street which leads to the famous Ponte Vecchio and its boutiques, bars and restaurants. The apartment is 70 sqm and is made up of the entrance, lounge, dining room, kitchen, bathroom and bedroom. “Simply amazing”

If you want to be in the heart of Florence and stay in a truly historic apartment, this is for you. The interior is in reality a museum of sorts. The art and decor are inspiring. The balcony is unforgettable. The amenities are well maintained. For whomever may rent this apartment in the future, please take good care of it. This is the only place I will ever stay when returning to Florence.

OK, it took me nearly a year to write this review because I was being completely selfish and wanted to keep this fabulous apartment to myself! Conscience has now got the better of me so here's my review:
Perfect 10/10 *****
From the moment one arrives, this apartment is undeniably special. It has an classic Florentine feel combined with modernity in the well-equipped kitchen and bathroom where excellent design and fittings make this a cut above the rest. The frescoed living room/bedroom is beautiful and the other bedroom is also beautiful and very tasteful with amazing storage for all the designer wear you'll be buying in Italy!
The absolute clincher for me is the terrace - this is the quirkiest and most adorable terrace ever! Situated above street level on a corner (I had no noise issues at all) with an amazing triangular section enclosed by windows complete with billowing curtains and comfortably furnished, it is a wonderful place to relax, read a book, and watch the...

By plane: From Florence airport there are two options available to get to l’Antica Dimora Terrazza De’ Medici. You can either take a taxi or use the "Vola in bus", a shuttle bus which takes you to the main station of Santa Maria Novella in around 20 minutes. Terrazza de’ Medici is a 10 minute walk from the central station. By train: Terrazza de’ MediciI is a 10 minute walk from the central station of Santa Maria Novella. By car: If you are travelling to Florence by car you can park in one of the long stay car parks nearby. From Rome: take the A1 motorway exit "Firenze Sud" and follow signs for the centre. From Milan: take the A1 motorway exit "Firenze Nord" and follow signs for the centre.
