Hurdlow, Peak District National Park, England
Amberleigh House is situated at Hurdlow Grange which is a group of luxury farmhouses and barns that can sleep any combination of people between 4 and 43. Amberleigh House has been converted to an exceptional standard mixing contemporary style with traditional buildings and features. Located around a central courtyard the complex has been designed to be equally good for small groups taking over one or two of the properties or a big party enjoying all the properties exclusively. For large groups both Cruck'd Barn has a huge open plan dining/living area that everyone can dine and socialise in.

Amberleigh House sleeps up to 8 in 4 bedrooms. Although a more compact 4 bedroomed property it is perfect as a base to explore the surrounding area. Amberleigh House was the original farmhouse at the present Hurdlow site and has been refurbished...

Reviewed 30 October 2013 for a stay in October 2013

A great location, great pub 15 minutes walk away, but let down by the interior. Bedrooms are small and characterless. There were not enough comfortable chairs in the living room for all 8 occupants (just 2 settees). There wasn't enough cutlery for 8: only 4 desert spoons and 2 soup spoons for instance. Many light bulbs had blown but not been replaced. Freezer lid was completely broken. Variable water pressure in showers. There was wifi, but you had to stand outside the property in the elements to get the signal, it was unreliable, and you had to pay £4 per hour to get the internet (how mean is that?)
