Just had a lovely fortnight here - the view from the terrace and over the pool is amazing, we miss it already. La Vieille Grange is spacious and comfortable; extremely well equipped - a real home from home. It provides a great base to enjoy relaxing by the pool and on the decking as well to explore this part of...

This I have to say is the best place I have stayed peaceful & relaxing ! No wifi which may be a disappointment to some but for us it was bliss ! The kids...

I stayed here for 10 nights with my partner and my daughter in September and it was beautiful. The cottage is a lovely place, beautifully renovated, immaculately clean and very well equipped. The caretakers are a lovely couple, very helpful, there if you need them but not intrusive in any way. The local area is lovely, with some very pretty...

About the neighbourhood
The picturesque old Roman town of Aubeterre, which was recently voted one of the prettiest villages in France, discover the 12th century subterranean church carved out of the rock or enjoy a drink on the village square with it's variety of shops, eateries and museums, all overlooked by a 1,000 year old chateau. Alternatively walk down to the river beach for a swim, relax or a bite to eat.

The market town of Riberac has one of the biggest markets in France. The capital towns of Angouleme and Perigueux offer a wider and more sophisticated range of shops in a typically French setting. Brantome, nicknamed the 'Venice of Perigord' is well worth a visit as its fairly local. Also within easy reach are towns such as St. Emilion, Bergerac, Cognac and Bordeaux, all famous for their wine...
