The main rule in Canário do Mar is to enjoy the place like it was your own. If you need anything please contact us as soon as so we can do something on time.
Inside the house we try to be shoeless so please when you get in take your shoes off and use the slippers we provide if you did not bring yours.
Everything you see inside the house is for your own use but please take good care of it. If you don’t know how to use some equipment you can find the user’s manual above the TV in the living room.

The house is really great. It is spacious, well equipped, beautifull and right at the sea. Fernando is really nice, funny and helpful (he helped me get a unusual souvenir :-)). The location is also good to explore the island. I definitely recommend staying here!

SUPER
Nous avons passé 10jrs fantastiques sur Terceira et cette maison en a été la clé.
Elle est absolument superbe, une vue extraordinaire à rester contemplatif, située idéalement pour explorer Terceira, et en prime il y a des vélos. Nous avons vu de la terrasse des dauphins 2 soirs de suite, carrément magique.
Sans oublier la disponibilité, les conseils et les attentions multiples de Fernando.
Vraiment SUPER.
Encore Merci pour tout et de partager cet endroit merveilleux.

Localização fantástica, junto ao mar, com vista para o ilhéu das cabras! Perto de Angra do Heroísmo! O interior e exterior da casa estão decorados de forma simples e de bom gosto! Permite passar uns dias sem necessitar os de nada, pois a casa está apetrechada de tudo o necessário! O ponto mais importante ainda, é o Sr Fernando, tem uma simpática e preocupação genuína! O Sr Fernando foi desde o início preocupado com o nosso bem estar e atento à mínima necessidade nossa! A minha avaliação geral e sincera é excelente!

Wonderful stay at a wonderful place
As a family of four, we were looking for a place for one week that had a garden , had a good location, and lastly where parents could relaxe once the kids were sleeping.
We found all of this, and more, at Canaria do Mar. like the previous comments , the mix of old house and perfect Restauration, made it a special place. The view onto the ocean- peaceful. We even saw dolphins from the garden!! Angra is only few minutes away and town of Porto Judeu is small but has two very good restaurants and a beautiful lava pool.
Fernando is super friendly and helpful , before and after the trip. Thanks for having us use your house.

Perfect house, beautiful place!
This house is amazing!! It is an old house but they have renovated it so good. The woodwork is perfect. All equipment you need is there. If you are Lucky and you have a day of cold weather you can heat the house with the stove in the kitchen. Also the kitchen is beautifull. I really haven't seen a house that is so perfect rebuilt before! Besides the house itself It is also a beautifull spot with a big garden and your own parking place. The owner is a nice guy who wants you to have a perfect time in his house; and I have to say: It was really great!

Just amazing!
Canario do Mar is an amazing house with beautiful surrounding. Excellent renovated with everything what you need for comfortable stay. Very clean and cosy. From the terrace it is a wonderful view to the ocean and the Ilheus das Cabras. The location is great for exploring the beautiful island Terceira.
Fernando is a super host. He is available for answering all the questions, you might have. He takes good care of the house and especially his guests. He prepared us everything for the delicious breakfast. Thank you so much!
Definitely highly recommended accommodation!!

Glamour e relax
Posto incantevole, vista spettacolare, anche sulle isole delle capre. La casa è raffinata, curata in ogni dettaglio, calda e confortevole, ideale per una vacanza in pieno relax, ma contemporaneamente vicina alla città e buon punto di partenza per eventuali escursioni sull'isola. Sono a disposizione delle biciclette per visitare i dintorni. Ottima località per la pesca a bolentino (cernie, dentici, saraghi, orate). Il proprietario è molto gentile e disponibile, pronto ad aiutare per ogni necessità.

The house is great! *****
It is exactly as it is described. It is located in a nice quiet place directly! at the sea. The view from the terrace is great. We saw, heard and smelled the sea. The view of Ilhéus das Cabras is phenomenal.
The house is very clean. It is cleaned several times a week. The towels and bed linen are with it changed. And the fridge is filled up! We felt very comfortable from the beginning.
Fernando takes care of everything. He was eager to have a good time there. And we had them. Thanks a lot for this. 5 Stars.

Authentic but comfortable base for exploring a colourful island
Small village house near the coast with ample garden and beautiful view of the ocean. Modern but authentic and very comfortable and complete. Not far from the much larger historic city of Angra. Perfect as base for exploring the colourful cultural and natural diversity of Terceira. Highly recommended!

Canário do Mar is located about 10km from the center of Angra do Heroísmo in a village called Porto Judeu. This village was constituted in 1502 and embraces several aspects of the tradicional life in the Azores, a fishing neighbourhood as well as an important agricultural area.
Within a 5 minutes walking distance you can reach the center of Porto Judeu, where you can find the old church of Santo António and the typical chapel of the Holy Spirit, where is centred the traditional festival of the village during July.
Two of the most well know restaurants in Terceira are also in Porto Judeu, Boca Negra e Rocha, and highlights of this island Algar do Carvão e Furnas do Enxofre.
