Met all our needs
Recently stayed at InnLisbon with husband, 1 tween and 1 teen. Rui is an exceptional host and transferred us from and to airport in addition to providing us with relevant information to get the most out of our stay in Lisbon. Apparent is spacious and clean. Close to little shops, bigger shops up the hill and a lovely pizza place just down stairs. Satellite TV. Very safe and quiet.
Very hilly, so would not be suitable for anyone with mobility issues. Otherwise, highly recommend.

Incredibly Helpful Host & Great Location
Rui was so kind to help us with transportation and recommendations for site seeing. Alfama location was convenient and full of unexpected twists and turns. Apartment was clean and comfortable. Thank you Rui!

Best apartment rental ever. Lovely apartment, safe and central.
Not sure where to start. Rui was the nicest host we have ever had the pleasure to rent an apartment from. The apartment itself had a fabulous location in the old town of Lisbon. Nice area near bars and restaurants. The apartment was very tasteful decorated with everything a family could need. Our host Rui was amazing. Made sure we got to the apartment without any hassle and took time and effort to ensure we had everything we needed. We had to call him late in the evening as we were concerned about train strikes and the website did not give much information. Not only did he paitently put up with texts and calls but drove us 20 minutes to the train station and made sure we had everything we needed. We had another issue later and even though we had left two days he offered to sort it out again. If you are travelling abroad it is nice to have someone genuine and kind to look out for you. I thought the Irish were friendly but not a patch on all the Portugese of all ages who were just genuinely nice, helpful and pleasant. The country should be proud

Book with confidence
Whenever I book privately owned accommodation, researching the host reputation is as important as the actual amenities. This is how, in late 2019, I ended up booking the InnLisbon apartment for much of November 2020.
Of course, in the meantime the world was turned upside down by Covid and so I contacted the host, Rui, in mid 2020 to see what, if any, options I had, given that I had paid a substantial deposit for my late 2020 booking. Rui was very flexible and even offered to fully refund my deposit. Since I knew, however, that I wanted to make it to Lisbon when it was feasible, we agreed that he would hold onto the deposit, but that if I ended up not going eventually he would reimburse me later.
I am happy to report that I was finally able to go to Lisbon in November 2021, pretty much one year after the original booking period. Rui lived up to all the great reviews, providing free rides from and back to the airport, a great service at any time, but especially helpful nowadays with Covid. He followed all the precautions and made sure we had everything we needed.
The apartment is as described on the website and is situated in a great area, within walking distance to many sights and transportation options, as long as you can navigate Lisbon’s hilly streets!
All in all booking InnLisbon was such a positive experience, and for us it was a great reintroduction to foreign travel.

Generous host
We intended staying at Rui's apartment whilst attending a wedding in Lisbon. Sadly, due to COVID, the wedding did not take place. We therefore did not travel to Portugal.
Many thanks to Rui for his kind and generous understanding of the circumstances.
We hope that we may visit at some point in the future.

Great apartment, superb service, good location.
This is superbly fitted out apartment, with everything you need for your stay in Lisbon. Minutes from the door are local restaurants and mini supermarkets .. with a larger supermarket not far away.
Rui will point you in the right direction of events happening and how to get from a to b in hilly Lisbon. He'll also drop you off at the airport ... and pick you up too if you want. We can't say thank you enough for an early Sunday 0730 pick up for an early flight out of Lisbon T2.
The apartment is next to tram route 28 which gets very (very!) busy at peak times ... walk for a few minutes to where the tram lines intersect with tram 12 and you'll prob get on that easier into town.... 12 is a (one direction only) circular and probably quicker back from the city centre too. Walking downhill to the centre is ok if you have good mobility... and there is lots to see. Personal fitness will determine how often you walk back up the hill!
We were only in Lisbon for a short break. When we come back we will have no hesitation at all about staying in this apartment again.

Very comfortable apartment in a great location
The apartment was very clean and comfortable and in a great location - near to tram, and metro lines and with plenty of cafes/restaurants within easy walking distance. Rui gave us a very warm welcome and provided us with a lot of helpful information, as well as complimentary lifts to and from the airport. Beds were comfortable, kitchen was well equipped and bathrooms were recently refitted and very clean. All in all a great base to explore a fabulous city. Highlight for us was the nearby Igreja Sao Vicente.Stunning tiles, unbeatable views across the city and surprisingly quiet. We also loved our day in Sintra.

Perfect
The only “negative” associated with this gorgeous rental was getting there by car ! Who knew? Tuesday is market day, and the picturesque market we visited after our host ruis most helpful welcome happens to hinder traffic and eat up parking..so be forewarned! ( though we did manage to park for free, and the car was useful to visit sintra... )
The space is as beautiful as in photos, perfect for our daughter and ourselves, within walking distance to many major attractions, and in the most authentically picturesque neighborhood of this picturesque city
Rui was kind and informative, as we found out most of the portuguese we met are-
All necessities were included, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms ( including a great “ massage” shower ), 2 floors

About the neighbourhood
Alfama is the oldest and one of the most typical districts of Lisbon. The best way to know it is to get lost on the narrow cobblestone alleyways, and patios linked by countless stairs going from the hill of the Castle of S. Jorge to River Tagus, where neighbours know each other and talk door to door.<BR>There are typical groceries, patios, restaurants and taverns that fill up the streets in the summer with tables and cook sardines in the streets.<BR>Some of the most beautiful glances over Lisbon are taken from the Miradouro Portas do Sol and from Miradouro Santa Luzia. The most important monuments of the area are the Castle of S. Jorge, Lisbon Cathedral, Monastery of St. Vincent Outside the Walls, and the National Pantheon.<BR>Near the National Pantheon, in Campo de Santa Clara, is placed the oldest market of Lisbon, the famous Feira da Ladra. Every Tuesdays and Saturdays since sunrise to dawn the vender’s display their products in tables, tents or linens scattered on the floor, selling books, clothes, old records, shoes, photographs, and everything your mind can imagine.<BR>You are also very close to the Fado and Portuguese guitar Museum: Situated at Largo do Chafariz de Dentro. It is a place where you can have a historical visit through the most traditional Portuguese music-Fado- and famous Portuguese fado singers like Amalia Rodrigues, Carlos do Carmo and Mariza. <BR>
