Nice Place in the Heart of Old Town
The apartment is located in the Rua de Santa Maria in Funchal's old town, where one tavern is lined up after the other, which involves a respective noise level in the evening. This is a fact, not a criticism, one has to factor it in. But the place is right in the middle of things. There are several good localities like the excellent "in-house" Taberna Ruel in the immediate proximity. The same applies for shopping facilities, including Mercado dos Lavradores. The equipment, especially the kitchen, left nothing to be desired. The beach promenade and the cable car are less than 100m away. I would book again.

Faz-nos sentir em casa.
Tudo me fez sentir que era o local adequado para uma semana de trabalho no Funchal. A um curto passeio a pé do centro e nas proximidades de transportes públicos.

Do Not Stay Here
Terrible location. There is a dance club/bar/disco right next door. Music is so loud on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights that you will not get any sleep. Only stay here if you are deaf. They should not be renting these apartments out on the nights the club is open. It’s disgraceful. Owners of this are Our Madeira and are not reputable. They tried to charge us twice for our deposit and threatened to cancel our reservation and keep our large deposit. We found other accommodations close by and walked out.
