Our large Granja beach apartment has sea views from several of the apartment's balconies and views of a monastery from the back balcony. There are three double sized bedrooms (1 double bed, 4 single beds), two bathrooms and a lounge dining area with a separate kitchen. The cot and cot bedding are included in the price. The apartment is 95m squared, excluding the four balconies. The kitchen was fully modernised in 2012, complete with a granite work surface. There is a 37" smart TV and FREE high speed WiFi. This is a lovely,well equipped and large apartment in a great location. We loved being in this area ,10 minutes walk to beach and 5 minutes to regular train service. There is a fantastic bakery opposite apartment, great for breakfast rolls and pastries. Our favourite restaurant was Barriquinn Nova on beach serving fantastic fish dishes. The location of this apartment is key, great bakery/cafe/bar 30 seconds away and restaurant a whole minute! Another 3 mins walk and a station to hop along to nearby villages or the town of Espinho, whilst Porto is only about 30 mins. The beach itself in Granja is only 5 mins walk, with cafe/bar with great views. Beach is rocky...

Spacious apartment, well equipped located near to the beach and local restaurants which are very cheap.Beautiful beach which stretched for miles and nearby resorts could be easily reached by beach walk way or local train.The beach is cooled by a constant breeze and the waves are surf like.In all a very relaxing holiday !

About the neighbourhood
Granja has its own beach, sea front and promenade, less than a five minute walk from the apartment. On the sea front, there is an immaculate municipal swimming pool which overlooks the sea. Prices are for the whole day and there is a snack bar/bar inside at the poolside. <BR><BR>Directly opposite the apartment is a fantastic patisserie called 'Snopao' selling cheap meals, snacks, alcohol, cigarettes, coffees, cakes etc. from 06:00 until after midnight - they have a baker's at the back so you can buy your bread, warm and fresh, directly from the oven. The beach resort of Granja is located on the North West Atlantic coast of Portugal, 14 kms (8.6 miles) south of Porto, Portugal's second city. Porto airport is situated 13 kms (8 miles) north of Porto.
The distance between the airport and the apartment is around 27 kms (17 miles), which takes around 30 mins by car.
There are several options for getting to the apartment from the airport. The quickest route is through our driver who speaks excellent English. He will collect you in the arrivals area of Porto airport and take you to the apartment and then take you back to the airport for your return journey. He charges 60 Euros return per car ( 4 people).
