MELINA'S HOUSE - Stalos Village - WEST CRETE An apartment with a main bedroom, large bathroom and a living room - kitchen. This apartment can accommodate 2 to 4 people, because it has a bedroom with two single beds and a living room with a bed and a sofa - bed, with normal Orthopedic mattress, and the possibility of additional bed. Melina's House is a charming small complex. The house is located in a village, which named Kato Stalos. It is very close to the beautiful city of Chania, only 7 km away. Chania airport is 19 km far from the house and Iraklio airport is 160 km. The house stands in a small but pretty garden of trees and plants on a side road that leads to the grand old village of Stalos. There is, also, a regular bus service to Chania four times a day just in front of the house and every 20 minutes buses pass by for the beach. Moreover is available a bus service to various villages in the west and southwest of the island. Accommodation is available , with maid service and linen/towel change provided twice a week. The property is equipped with satellite TV. Melina's house is located 7kms west of Hania town by the old costal road and there is frequent bus service to the airports ,and to the ports of Hania –CODE/CHQ & Heraklion,CODE/HER. HANIA town is the meeting point whether you arrive by plane or boat. There is a bus station in the centre, where the taxi driver or the local bus will take you from the airport or harbour. If you arrive to Crete at Hania airport , you can either get the public bus or a taxi to Hania town (drive costs about 18 €) then the bus to Kato Stalos (last bus at 23:00). We are located ,close to Maria's tavern,famous in Stalos,( single ticket costs about 1,6- €). A taxi fare from airport to Melina's House, costs about 34 - €. If you arrive by ferry to (Souda Port-the port of Hania) you can get the local bus (blue colour) to Hania town and then the bus to Stalos. A taxi fare from Souda port to Melina's House costs about 25 €. If someone arrives to Heraklion port or airport , can get the local bus or a taxi to the town centre (10 minutes away) and from there , the bus to Hania (ticket costs about 14 EURO, and last bus leaves at 21:00). If you drive your own car, take the new national road to Kissamos, there is no any reason to get through the down town.You count about 10kmts drive,and look for the signs Galatas,the exit bridge to Stalos. CHQ ,(HANIA) airport. During the summer season ,from April to October ,there are many direct flights daily, connecting Hania and Heraklion with the rest of Europe. Try and check on the Internet for prices and schedules. Additionally there are many low cost airlines flying to Hania –Souda airport. Ask tour travel agent. The owner Antonis Michakis and his family, also live downstairs in aN apartment and they are always more happy to help, give out tour advice or answer to your enquires.. Splendida vacanza tranquilla e riposante

Mio marito ed io siamo appena tornati da un soggiorno di due settimane presso la struttura Melina's House, gestita ottimamente da Antonios e Melina, coppia di coniugi gentili e sempre disponibilissimi. Ci siamo trovati benissimo. Appartamento pulito, confortevole, più volte ripulito con cambio lenzuola e biancheria da bagno nel corso delle due settimane. Accoglienza gentilissima con frutta e olio all'arrivo e alla partenza. Non avremmo potuto desiderare di più. Appartamento tranquillo e silenzioso nelle ore serali, splendido balcone con vista mare. Possibilità di utilizzare lavatrice e stendere bucato senza nessuna difficoltà. Piccolo supermercato a brevissima distanza.

If you have a car easy access to Chania but quieter

Kato Stalos is a quiet little village only a few km away from Chania making access, if you have a car, really easy. The apartment itself is absolutely beautiful. Clean, spacious for 2, and with simple but more than adequate facilities to self cater. Antonis and Melina are obliging hosts - they even couriered my shoes on to our next stay when they found I had left them. Could not be beaten for VFM and the welcome you will receive.

How to get there

If you arrive to Crete at Hania airport , you can either get the public bus or a taxi to Hania town (bus costs about 2,50 € ) then the bus to Kato Stalos . We are located ,close to Maria’s tavern,famous in Stalos,( single ticket costs about 1,8- €). A taxi fare from airport to Melina’s House, costs about 38 - €. if you have your own car you are able to follow this directions: Coming from Chania airport, you may either drive through the town towards west after 7 km. or choosing the new road through Souda harbor. Continuing from Souda, it is necessary to take the exit for Galatas and then right towards to Stalos. Coming from Heraklion follow the new road from Souda port, towards, Kissamos. It is necessary to take the exit to G
