This was the hidden gem we had been looking for and were so very glad to have found it.
We had the entire place to ourselves for a week and it was glorious. The pool was perfectly clean the entire time and Vaggelis was an amazing host - he even brought us fresh cucumbers picked that morning! The lovely Monda also cleaned every other day so the place remained spotless and we had fresh towels and linen as required.
That said, if pristine and perfect monochrome is your style this is not the place for you. We were looking for authentic, local, rustic and peaceful, which we got in droves. There's no air con, but a fan works just fine; there are no shops within walking distance, but there are lots of very friendly locals who were happy to converse with us in hand gestures as neither of us spoke much of each other's language. For us this was exactly what we had wanted - a break away from it all and surrounded by stunning scenery. There's a view down to the sea from one end... more
