Cruzy is situated amongst the vineyards between Carcassonne and Montpellier, approximately 30 minutes from the Mediterranean coast with its beaches. Beziers and Narbonne are the nearest large towns around 30 minutes away by car. The famous and lovely Canal du Midi is nearby where you can enjoy a day on the Canal or cycle alongside it. The Languedoc typically enjoys 300 days of sunshine per year so Notre Maison is the ideal rural village retreat at any time of year. It’s the perfect place for families and small groups to enjoy a break in the South of France.

Interaction with guests: We have a Property Management Company that looks after the entire property and it’s contents. Should a problem occur, you will have their contact details.
The pool is cleaned once a week.
House keeping can be arranged on request.
Bicycles can be hired, and the local bicycle hire shop in Capestang will deliver.
There is a spare gas canister for the Bar-B-Q

Return visit, so will now become a regular trip I think.
Cruzy is a lovely quaint and relaxed village, perfect for a peaceful retreat from these mad times. So private once inside the property walls, with a lovely pool and outside areas to enjoy, sun by the pool or shady areas under the fig trees. And yet, the house is just a short drive to local restaurants dotted along the Canal du Midi, or local vineyards to purchase wine to take back home. This time the house has all new air conditioning in the bedrooms, which I have to say is the best I have ever found anywhere for efficient and silent operation. All of the bedrooms are large and the living space is huge if you want to spend your time inside, but we spent most of our waking hours outdoors enjoying the freedom to choose. At the time of our stay, Covid was still on everyone's mind but this house allows the privacy to socially distance locally, if you feel to need to and is the perfect getaway. I'm sure we will return again soon.

Relaxing week away
I spent a lovely relaxing week in this villa in August. The owners were very knowledgeable of the area and were helpful with all of my queries. The village is very picturesque and the food at the local restaurant the Terminus was delicious! I've booked to go back over Easter and can't wait to explore the area further and test out some of the vineyards the owners have recommended.

Idyllic getaway
Spent a fabulous week in Cruzy. Opportunity to completely relax and enjoy fabulous French life. Villa is all that you wish for when renting for a holiday. We went with all adults. But one of the bedrooms has adjoining doors to master bedroom. So ideal for families too with young family! All bedrooms light and airy and good size. Plenty of space both indoors and out doors
Outside is completely secluded with wonderful pool. Big enough to play games or swim, or just float on a lilo!
If you enjoy cycling then great location for cycling along canal du midi!
And plenty of good places to eat both locally in walking distance to the villa as well as further afield.
Of course do not forget the wine tasting as some of the best wines of France from this region

Agréable maison pour vacances en famille
Ai séjourné dans cette grande maison de caractère en famille. Atmosphère agréable, terrain privé avec belle piscine, grandes pièces communes et chambres spacieuses. Maison bien équipée avec cuisine d'été au niveau du jardin. Le village entouré de vignes est typique du sud de la France avec quelques petits commerces. Deux très bons restaurants à proximité immédiate dont Le Terminus listé dans le Guide Michelin. Avons apprécié le sympathique marché à Saint Chinian. Proximité du Canal du Midi. Nous y retournerons.

Perfect getaway - booking again already!
So happy we can now give this place a review!
My husband and I stayed here for a week of rest and relaxation and we were blown away! The photos don’t do the house justice, the rooms are really big and the pool is the perfect size to swim and play in, there is even a slide! The weather was fab when we visited, so we got to make the most of the sun beds and pool. I love that it has two kitchens, we used the downstairs kitchen a lot as we ate outside mostly (they have a shaded area right outside) and there’s a BBQ that’s really easy to use. We shopped both locally and a little further drive in Narbonne is a big supermarket too, it’s basically on the way to a really nice beach.
We hired a car from the airport, found it very easy to locate, the roads are a little narrow in the town but the house has a lot of parking so it wasn’t a problem. The local patisserie is definitely worth while getting up and walking the short distance to in the morning (3-4minutes), the market wasn’t very big when we were there but I’ve read that there are some great festivals in the summer.
It’s really close the canal du midi, which is beautiful and just down the road is an amazing restaurant called Terminus - highly recommend!
It was only the two of us when we stayed however you can very comfortably sleep 8, I would have thought it would be great place to come as a couple of families or a large group.
The owners were really friendly and very helpful with places to recommend, I would suggest when you book to get in touch as they clearly know the area and have a love of food too - already got a few places new to try on our next visit.
We have booked to go again this year and can’t wait!

Nice spacious house with retro feel. Large pool for exercise or relaxation. Charming Village in amidst vinyards. Bring your family and/or friends for a nice get-together.

Charming little oasis behind the walls of a village house, with all amenities and peace and quiet.
Visited in August, a wonderful place of calm and tranquility, tucked away in a typical village location. Spacious but private house and garden with huge pool and secure parking. Two well equipped kitchens makes life easy for seasonal visits, one summer one winter, and so much entertainment area both outside and inside. Short drives to various places to eat and one within walking distance which quickly becomes a favourite. Easy access to other places of interest. Would recommend for mixed groups or family bookings. Owners happy to engage for help and advice.

About the neighbourhood
You can get all basic foods in the village and a lovely bistro is only 12-15 minute walk away. You can hire bicycles in nearby Capestang, they may even deliver them to you. Enjoy cycling around the vineyards and stopping to sample some of the wine. 85% of France wine is produced in the Languedoc-Roussillon area! The use of a car is a must for beach visits and the many Cathar castles which are dotted around the area. So much to see and do!
Villa in Languedoc is in a small quiet village near the Canal du Midi. It's a working village so please be respectful of noise such as loud music late in the evenings. We suggest 22.00 as cut off time.

How to get there
There are several ways to arrive at Villa in Languedoc.
Flying into France:
Airports are at Montpellier, Carcassone, or Béziers hire a car and it will take you just over an hour to get to the house, shorter distance from Béziers.
Flying into Spain:
Barcelona is the nearest. We advise that you make sure that the hire company is aware, that you will take the car across the border into France.
Train: Béziers is the nearest station.
Buses run from Béziers weekdays and on a Saturday.
Taxi or Hire car.
Full directions will be given once booked and paid in full. You can also drive through France and as a guide line from Dieppe harbour it will take you approximately 9.5hrs without stopping; Calais is approximately 12 hours.
