Stancija Mani is a secluded property at the heart of Istria. <BR><BR>Rose is one of three stone holiday homes, in addition to which the property has a “kazun” (round stone cottage), a “konoba” (a shared kitchen, living and dining area with in- & outdoor fireplaces) and at the other end of the 7000 m2 plot, the owners have an old stone house.<BR><BR>We offer our guests an authentic Istrian experience in the countryside between Kanfanar and Zminj, a mere 15 minute drive from Rovinj and the Adriatic coast.

Hidden paradise in the heart of Istria
My biggest dilemma was should I even review this piece of paradise or should I keep it as a secret for myself and my friends.
To thank Zahra and Karin on beautiful hospitality I have chosen to write a review after all.
We have spent our holidays in June with our friends from Zagreb on Stancija Mani. We especially enjoyed hanging out in Konoba and cooking together and kids were thrilled by freedom they had there. They were climbing trees, playing with wooden sticks, catching butterflies, swimming in the natural pool and played with owners' dogs all by themselves. Even we are from Croatia Zahra and Karin told us about some really well hidden small restaurants in the region that we didn't know about, they also pointed us to the beaches we would never discover by ourselves.
The last night we had fish BBQ together with our hosts and they surprised us (once again) with local domestic wine they gave us as a gift to bring home.
As we found out Zahra is musician which explained all the instruments around the place. In general all interiors are extremely coasy and decorated with lots of care and details.
We can't wait to come and visit this place again!
Please don't tell about this place to anybody, it's a secret :-)

About the neighbourhood
In addition to well known cities such as Rovinj, Porec, Pula or Vrsar, there are a number of smaller towns, villages and natural conservation areas worth visiting, such as the beautiful Venetian town of Svetvincenat. There are also beautiful churches with frescoes and records of the Glagolithic alphabet in Gracisce and Beram, the Cicaria and Ucka mountains in the north, the historic city of Fazana and the Brioni Islands, as well as Cape Kamenjak in the south.<BR>It is hard to exhaust the diversity of the Istrian landscape!
