About the neighbourhood
Gîte Le Combal is situated just 8km (5miles) from the picturesque village of Najac and its medieval hill-top castle. The holiday property is on the outskirts of the smaller village of St-André-de-Najac which has a very good restaurant and café (Relais Mont Le Viaur), a general grocer's shop, post office and music bar. All within an easy 15 minute stroll from the property. ACTIVITIES St-André-de-Najac is great for outdoor activities such as: hiking and walks in the adjacent chestnut woods, cycling on the lanes, mountain biking on woodland tracks and tennis on the village court. Pottery classes & mini golf are available just outside the village. Lagarde-Viaur is just 2km (1.2miles) from the holiday cottage for: swimming in the river Viaur, fishing and rock-climbing. During summer evenings,...
How to get there
By plane, car or train: St André de Najac is less than 1 & ½ hours drive from either Toulouse or Rodez Airport and between 9 and 13 hours drive from the Channel ports via the A20 Motorway. The nearest channel ports are Le Havre, Caen or Dieppe (LD Lines, P&O ferries) and we recommend staying somewhere halfway to break up the journey. Whether driving from the ferry ports, arriving by train or flying & hiring a car, we will send you detailed local directions when you book. Toulouse city airport (Toulouse-Blagnac) has daily cheap flights (EasyJet) from London Gatwick, Bristol, UK and Paris all year round. Between April and October, Toulouse connects to other UK/Irish airports from Cardiff, Birmingham, Norwich, Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester, Edinburgh and Dublin. Rodez regional airport (Rodez...
