About the neighbourhood
BRITTANY REGION Brittany offers a wealth of varied landscapes - beautiful sandy beaches, deep forests and medieval towns, easily accessible from Avalon's central situation. From spectacular beaches with rugged coastlines to vast sandy expanses, to peaceful woods and forests and the famous Nantes-Brest Canal, Brittany has all the makings of a perfect holiday. The cuisine in the area includes crepes and galettes and of course the seafood! Mussels and oysters are available throughout the region, particularly in the summer months. Cider is produced here and local varieties are available in all supermarkets.
