Beach access is off the main terrace. The air-conditioned upper level is a comfortable, contemporary open plan great room decorated in neutrals, dark woods with lovely accent pieces. Columns unobtrusively define the spaces. High vaulted ceilings create an airy feel.
The chic modern kitchen opens to the view and outdoor dining room. Floor to ceiling sliding glass doors, running the length of the main space, create a seamless transition from the interior to exterior providing unobstructed views.
Off the great room is the master bedroom with floor to ceiling sliding glass doors that bring in the view; black out curtains close for privacy. Beautiful Creole windows and serene furnishings create a private oasis bedroom. The spa style master bath suite, in tumbled marble and mosaic tiles, opens to a huge outdoor shower terrace.
A stone path off the terrace connects to the sea facing gym.
The lower level features a self-contained apartment with kitchen. Facing Mont-Rouge, the mood is private and peaceful. The interior is stylishly appointed in soft greys, pops of color and dark woods. The large spa style bath with walk in shower is clad in travertine tiles and dark woods.
Bedroom 1 is upstairs on the main level and opens into the living room. It has a king size bed & offers sea view. Bedroom 2 is located on a lower level with a separate entrance and has a king size bed, Living Area, Plasma TV and a Kitchen. It offers a lot of privacy and looks over the garden. Each bedroom has a very large private bathroom with shower & dressing area, air conditioning, Plasma TV, DVD & ceiling fans. Maximum of 2 pax per Bedroom.

We stayed a La Vie En Bleu fir 5 days after a week in St Barts. The villa is simply stunning. The ocean views are amazing. The main unit has a very large living space and great kitchen space. The deck, the pool, and the hot tub is amazing. The pictures do not do it justice. This villa offers plenty of space to enjoy your private secluded beach front hideaway. Since the pool deck is about 15 ft above the sand the views are very panoramic. Total privacy to sunbathe in the nude if one desires. Access to Baie Rouge is a set of (gated) stairs down to the sand. Baie Rouge is a large beach (clothing optional) with nice sand but has a large flat rock waterline. You need to walk a bit to get access to the amazing water. I would go for long walks everyday up and down the beach. The sand is soft so walking can be difficult. We enjoyed lounging by the pool and using the hot tub while drinking our favorite adult beverages. Massages on the pool deck are a must. And there is a small gym as well to work off those extra calories. Restaurants and stores are close by.

Beautiful views on a secluded beach....
We thoroughly enjoyed our week at La Vie en Bleu. The views out to the ocean are wonderful, complimented by the ever changing clouds and weather. As the pictures show, the villa is perched up about 15 feet above the sea, offering both an expansive view across the bay and a secluded feel. Candidly, the pictures don't do the views justice. The villa offers a nice deep veranda with ample seating to relax and enjoy the show.
As prior guests have commented, the local concierge and staff are very kind and courteous and issues are dealt with swiftly. The villa is well cared for, the kitchen is nice, and the bedrooms are comfortable. That said, some maintenance issues need to be addressed. The pool liner is starting to crack in a bad way (we understand maintenance is scheduled for early Dec. 2013), we were not able to get the hot tub under control, outdoor speakers have corroded and the couches and cushions are clearly showing wear. All said, none of these items prevented us from enjoying the villa.
Some things to know: (i) the house is well located with easy access to grocery shops and restaurants, (ii) the suite downstairs is very spacious and self contained with tv area and kitchenette - there is no internal staircase, (iii) there is ample beach area immediately in front of the villa, however the shore line itself is rocky and the sea pretty choppy - the bay is not 'glass', (iv) the bay is long and beautiful to walk along (the villa even has a shower at the beach access to was your feet), (v) the pool is not heated,and (vi) bring insect repellent.
In summary, it is a beautiful villa and it was hard to leave....

Totally awesome
We stayed a Le Vie En Bleu for 10 days this last July on the advice from Ted at St. Martin Reservation Center. From the moment we stepped into this wonderful villa, we knew Ted's advice was spot on. Everything about this classy home was done with the vacationers enjoyment in mind. Granted, it's a bit small but the floor plan is designed in a way that brought your every glance to the beautiful ocean right in front of you. It had all the modern amenities you'd expect to find in a five star villa rental. My wife used the oceanfront gym each morning and loved it.I could write a novel about this totally private get away in paradise but I'll just say one thing. We plan on returning next summer to Le Vie En Bleu. Thank you Ted !!!
