Cottage -
1 Bedroom , 1 Bathroom , Sleeps 4
Newgale, Pembrokeshire, Wales
Situated inside Pembrokeshire Coast National Park The Granary at Roch Mill is close to Newgale beach and Solva on the edge of St Davids peninsular. This delightful old cottage has been tastefully converted and is ideal for two people.

The Granary comprises three rooms: a bedroom, shower room and a large living area divided tastefully into three zones for cooking, dining and relaxing. Part of the Granary's charm lies in its creative design. The ceiling, for example, is open to the insulated roof with exposed A-frame timbers. The floor is covered with slate tiles that are heated using underfloor heating throughout the cottage. For that cosy feeling there is also a wood burning stove.

Nestled in picturesque Brandybrook valley the Granary at Roch Mill offers peace and tranquility where you can unwind from the stresses of modern daily...

Beautiful, immaculate cottage for two, very well equipped and complimentary bottle of wine! Warm, cosy, comfortable, ideal for a peaceful break away from the usual distractions. Warm welcome from Pat, Dave and Mollie the collie. Lovely grounds to walk in accompanied by Mollie. Maps and lots of local information available and a fascinating account of how Dave and Pat restored...

The Granary is a hidden gem situated in a peaceful valley close to the spectacular Newgale beach which is perfect for surfers and body boarding. From the Granary we ventured to tranquil Solva Harbour, St. Davids City, the harbour at Porthgain, steeped in industrial history, Abereiddi beach with the blue lagoon, Strumble Head an outstanding spot to search for seals...

We returned yet again this year, this time leaving the dog with friends, much as we wanted to return here, and found it as perfect as usual. It is a delightful setting and the accommodation includes all you require. We are always sad to leave, this was also the case this year, and cannot wait to return.

Management response:

Thank you Roger. As ever, great to see you all again. Till next time, very best wishes. Pat & Dave

About the neighbourhood
Famous for its surf, Newgale beach is very popular with holiday makers of all kinds. With over 2 miles of sandy beach shouldered by splendid cliffs, caves and rock pools it offers an ideal destination for people of all ages. Inland from Newgale the Brandybrook valley guides a delightful riverside footpath that starts at Roch Mill and meanders gently through woods and meadows providing a tranquil, shady contrast to sun, sand and sea.

Nearby there are opportunities for cycling, horse riding, tennis, golf, rock climbing, coasteering, boat trips, sailing and canoeing. And, of course, there are lots of nice pubs, cafes and restaurants to relax in. Our own pub in Roch, The Victoria Inn, is friendly and welcoming and provides excellent beer and grub. The curry n pint on a Friday night is not to...
