We have been in this wonderful and peaceful place. Very clean and welcoming place. 5 star self catering. Owners very friendly and welcoming worth a re visit in the future.

About the neighbourhood
The local area is famous for fine eating (Melton Mobray being the home of Pork pies, and locally produced blue vein Stilton Cheese,) with Stamford being voted the best place to live in the UK by the Sunday Times.
Although located in rural England London is very easily reached by train (Peterborough station to Kings Cross in less than 50 minutes, making a shopping trip and London show easily available.
Rutland water is a favorite haunt for walkers, birdwatchers, fly fishermen, cyclists etc

Aunby is a small Hamlet 10 minutes drive from Stamford. If you leave Stamford going North on the Bourne Road after approx 2 miles you will go over a small bridge at some traffic lights on the outskirts of Ryhall. After the light's take a left onto the B1176 and follow the road for a further 2 miles you will pass through a crossroads before going up a hill with houses by the road at the top, as you travel back down the hill you will see a sign on your right directing you to turn left into Aunby. This will take you onto a single track road follow this road until you see a gateway with stone peers with a Visit Britain sign on the fence this is Lodge Farm, drive up the paddock to the cottage at the top. We live in the Farmhouse at the back
