We bought Kokopelli because we love the location and regularly spend time in Devon getting away from it all – It’s an incredibly relaxing place. As a couple, we both work hard and this is our bolt hole. We have 2 daughters and 2 grandchildren and dog (called Moose) who also enjoys the walks around the area, be it on the many paths in and around the Sidmouth Donkey Sanctuary or along the coastal path to our favourite local pub, the Fountainhead (great food, drink and atmosphere!)
We decided to call our cottage Kokopelli because of the happy memories it conjures up. Kokopelli is a character we came across on a holiday in Moab, Utah in the USA. Dogs should bekept on a lead or under control on the site.
At night time, please keep noise levels from televisions and music players to a minimum as sound does tend to travel.
Please DO NOT SMOKE inside the cottage at any time
Please bring dog towels and throws to help protect furniture and please do not allow on the beds unless you cover them with an old sheet etc of your own.

Perfect
Kokopelli is a real gem! Cosy and warm and spotlessly clean with everything you could possibly need for a break away including comfy beds. We have been to many holiday cottages and this was best we’ve ever stayed in.

Excellent pet friendly cottage
Wonderful, spacious, well equipped and lovely decor. Has the most comfortable bed! Dog friendly, lots of lovely walks and places to eat. Next to the donkey sanctuary which is excellent. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend and we will definitely go again.

Great Bungalow in a great location.
Lovely Bungalow in a fabulous spot, we had a great week, the bungalow is beautiful and so well equipped, in fact it is probably the best equipped holiday accommodation we have ever stayed in. We enjoyed the outside space, as did our two cockapoos. We visited the donkey sanctuary daily and it is a beautiful place to visit. We would love to visit again in the future. If I had to find a negative it would be that there is nowhere within walking distance to eat in the evenings but plenty of places within a short drive.

Great quiet place to stay and relax!
Very homely and nicely furnished bungalow with absolutely everything you could possibly need! Beautifully clean and tidy in a quiet setting close to the popular Donkey Sanctuary and Sidmouth with all its attractions. We stayed here for Sidmouth Folk week and found it easy to get into Sidmouth which is only a short drive away. We would definitely recommend staying here, owner Jacqu was so helpful with great communication throughout the booking and where we stayed.

Just brilliant!
Kokopelli cannot be beaten for accommodation, cleanliness, location, and service. Initial supplies in terms of tea, coffee, milk, loo paper and cleaning materials are very generous. The owner is very communicative and helpful and the deposit is always returned very promptly. Our stay this year was a wet one, but even umbrellas are supplied! Have stayed here before and will certainly visit again.

Fabulous dog friendly base to explore Jurassic Coast
Another lovely week’s stay at Kokopelli Cottage in Sidmouth, thoroughly recommended! The cottage is like home from home, you couldn’t ask for more! Jacqui, the owner, really takes time and effort to ensure you have the best time! We visited Sidmouth itself as well as Jacob’s Ladder, Branscombe, Otterton Mill, Budleigh Salterton, Seaton, Axmouth Harbour, Western, Salcombe Regis as well as gentle strolls along The River Byes and The River Otter, a top tip if visiting East Devon is to book a 7-9pm River Exe Cafe visit, you catch a water taxi from Exmouth and then enjoy the best fresh fish supper on a floating restaurant, we had the most amazing sunset, we could’ve been anywhere in the world! East Devon is super dog friendly, Enzo was welcomed in every pub, restaurant or beach that we visited and had the time of his life 🐾 💙

Amazing get away
The booking process was made so easy and accessible. Jaqui is very helpful and information and made the whole process simple.
The cottage is in a quiet location. Everything in the cottage is of good quality and comfortable. Its definitely a home from home. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need to cook at the cottage.
The beds are super comfy, as is the sofa.
The place is warm with good heating. And we had plenty of hot water.
Comfy sofas for the family evenings in. Every little thing was thought of, even down to a needle and cotton.!
Games, puzzles, books and dads, just not enough time to enjoy it all. Lovely outside space for the dog and children.

Couldn’t wish for anything more
What a beautiful cottage, a true home from home owned by lovely people. There was nothing we needed!
Cottage has a great position with an expanse of grass outside for the dogs to play. We were very lucky to have spring like weather that we could sit outside in the sun (cottage faces south).
Donkey sanctuary a short walk away which is great for dog walks and a cuddle, and Sidmouth is lovely for a shop.
We wished we had booked for longer as there is so much to see and do.
We will certainly be going back.

Great place to stay
We have just returned from a wonderful few days away. The cottage is just minutes away from the donkey sanctuary, which is very dog friendly. The cottage has everything that you need and is very clean and comfortable, especially the bed that was really comfortable. The host kept in contact with us at all time, the water was being turned off and we were kept up to date of times it was going off and when it was coming back on.
