Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.
If you have submitted a review for a holiday rental property, we may also ask that you provide us with proof of your stay to ensure that your review is attached to the correct rental property.
Holiday rental reviews collected via the VRBO website (formerly Homeaway) and syndicated to the Tripadvisor website are not currently subject to Tripadvisor’s standard moderation processes.

Breathtaking - in the very best way!
The spa chalet is a special, special place. From the moment we drove up the private drive and parked up, opened up the subtly, but reassuringly securely gated perimeter and entered the magnificent property we were blown away. Glenn, the owner has clearly invested time, money and love into this truly unique home. The views are stunning, the location is lovely and quiet, and we really did get that feeling of being 'somebody notable' as people walked past with mouths open, wowed by the absolute beauty of the place. The chalet was immaculately clean, and we met the Housekeeper on our last day and complemented her on what a lovely job she and her team do. She replied saying that it is just so special that you couldn't not do it justice by giving it the full service it deserves. The chalet is steeped in history and there is information about it inside. Rooms are stunningly appointed, spacious and very comfortable, each has its own style and is equally special. The kitchen has ample utensils and crockery. There are games and books that can be used, along with a games console, additional TV channels, telescope looking out to sea.... You name it, Glenn has thought of and included it. If you're looking for somewhere special to stay in Scarborough, or are hoping to organise a special celebration, then I would heartily recommend the Spa chalet as your venue, you won't be disappointed!

What a treat
Booked directly with usnooze, Amanda was brilliant, communication was great from the start. Was impressed with the level of service given, information regarding the property for parking, directions and how appliances work was sent prior to our stay. On arrival there is only one thing to say wow, staying here was such a treat. Beautiful location, fabulous weather and wonderful accommodation. Can’t wait to go again. Faultless. Great show at the open air theatre too.

Amazing property and location
We’ve just returned from a 3 night stay as a family of ten with an age range of 2 months to 75 years. The property is amazing and everything within it is a very high standard. Very well equipped with stunning views. Central location with parking and the hosts are very helpful. Highly recommended.

Map
About the neighbourhood
To your left, Scarborough’s Grand Hotel, with cafes, bars, and restaurants alongside. To your right, the historic spa and Italian Gardens. Straight ahead, the expanse of the golden beach with the sea beyond. A detached property, yes, yet so connected with its natural surroundings. No better location to make memories-on-sea, with morning strolls along the shoreline feeling the sand between your toes, perhaps throwing a ball for your dog to fetch (yes, pets are welcome to stay in the chalet too). Further afield, North Bay urges you to visit, its Blue Flag status evidence of its ranking as one of Europe’s premier beaches. Stop off to savour a freshly whipped ice cream or perhaps fresh croissants. and explore the beauty of the Italian Gardens
Getting around
Two parking spaces outside the chalet ensure you won’t have far to carry your belongings when you arrive. And if you’re planning to explore further afield during your stay, bringing your car or hiring one will enable you to easily reach Whitby, Staithes, Robin Hood’s Bay and Filey, all of which are within an hour’s drive. No car? No problem. Scarborough Train Station is just a 10 minute walk away and has routes to Filey, Bridlington, Liverpool and Sheffield. There are plenty of bus services too. Route 12 takes you to the neighbouring seaside towns of Filey and Bridlington, while the X93 travels through to Middlesbrough with drop-offs in Robin Hood’s Bay and Whitby.
