Pucks Lodge is a delightful traditional dog friendly log cabin , nestled on the edge of Argyll Forest. we are offering an ideal base for both families and couples to explore the beautiful Scottish countryside. Ideally located between Holy Loch and Loch Eck with beautiful walks directly from the lodge. Being dog owners ourselves we welcome dogs at our lodge, please ask at time of booking about charges for dogs. We know how important it is to have all your creature comforts round you when your on holiday so we've equipped the lodge to ensure you've got everything you need, right down to plastic ducks for your bath time and dog biscuits for your four legged friends!

For such a small part of Scotland, there is an amazing contrast in the landscape . The Northern part of Cowal is rugged and remote, with Loch Ech is surely one of the most stunningly picturesque stretches of water in Scotland. Cowal's only major town, Dunoon, hosts little independant shops. We're also lucky enough to have the amazing historic botanical gardens walking distance from the Lodge.
A short drive away is a coastline indented with sea lochs and peppered with many lively small communities 'Argyll's Secret Coast', a remote and beautiful stretch of Cowal Coastline taking in the spectacular Kyles of Bute and the picturesque town of Tighnabruaich.
This whole area is great for outdoor activities, especially sailing, as well as excellent hospitality, yet is less than two hours from the central belt of Scotland.
Getting around
For exploring a car is our best option. Getting to the lodge involves taking a ferry from Greenock quay. The ferries run frequently and there is no need to book in advance. The journey across the water only takes 20 minutes, but you feel a million miles away, a great start to your holiday!
