The interior has been newly refurbished to provide a warm and contemporary feel. The inviting living room has two comfortable leather reclining sofas, open and spacious, perfect to curl up with a good book, a glass of wine or simply relax and enjoy family time. Enjoy the 42inch Smart TV, free Wi-Fi, alternatively you have games, books and an assortment of DVS's to entertain you. Excellent lodge in very peaceful surroundings. Great to find dog friendly property, plenty of walks in area. Lodge very clean and comfortable. Would highly recommend

Visited for a week, the lodge was very big with everything that we needed, the bed and sofas were very comfy. The view from the decking area was beautiful and the site was very peaceful. The surrounding areas are lovely to visit but a car...More

About the neighbourhood
The ferry trip across the Firth of Clyde is a fine introduction to the Cowal Peninsula. To the north the mountains surrounding the sea lochs of Long and Goil provide a stunning backdrop as the ferry arrives at the busy town of Dunoon, Cowal's principal community, which has an excellent choice of accommodation, shopping and eating out. Built around two sheltered bays, and with wonderful views over the water, Dunoon is also the seaboard gateway to the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park.

You can travel by Citylink Bus or by train from Glasgow to the ferry terminals at Gourock. Calmac and Western Ferries both serve the Dunoon area and both ferry operators have passenger facilities.
By car

Follow the M8 from Glasgow to Gourock where you can catch the Western Ferries Ferry to Dunoon. You can also drive via the A82, a very picturesque route past Loch Lomond and through the Argyll countryside. See the AA web site for a route planner.
