Helen was very welcoming and helpful. Well equipped and ideal spot for touring the local area. She let us bring our well behaved cat which was brilliant.

About the neighbourhood
Monmouthshire is a border county steeped in history with beautiful countryside and Itton is located in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The area is noted for its abundance of castles, apprently there are more castles per square foot in Monmouthshire than anywhere else in Europe, fabulous walking with a mixture of 6 Long Distance routes and National Trails a short distance way, cycling off and on road. Two major rivers course they through the County, River Wye & River Usk both popular with fly fisherman and canoeists. For those that are keen on heritage then Monmouthshire has plenty to offer and if you are a foodie there isn't a weekend that goes by without a Farmers Market and 2 high quality Farm shops a short drive away.
Getting around
By car is recommended although people have stayed arriving by train at Chepstow and then travelled by taxi. They then spent a week exploring the local countryside which is absolutely fabulous by foot. Groceries can be delivered to the door. If you want to explore further a field then a car is necessary.
