Interaction with guests
We will come and check you in the evening of your arrival to see if you have everything that you need. We are also only 5 minutes down the road if you have any queries. We are happy to show you round the farm too; this can be a bit seasonal as often the animals are out in the fields, but we are usually able to find something to look at- and answer all your questions!

Just come back today from stopping at Trowley Farmhouse. Lovely place to stay, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Had everything we needed for 15 people. Would definitely recommend. Also Kathryn makes a beautiful coffee cake!

About the neighbourhood
Painscastle has the remains of a Norman Castle, and the local pub The Roasted Ox Inn is only 1.5 miles away. The food is excellent with a great sunday roast and a good atmosphere. There is a community tennis court in Rhosgoch (3 miles), also a licensed golf course also serving bar meals and a home cooked sunday carvery. There are local riding school that will take you out on the hills just above the Trowley.

Hay-on-Wye, approx. 6 miles, is home to the largest selection of second-hand book shops in the world. It is an old traditional market town with small streets and many antique shops. Come and stay with us for the Hay literary festival held in May, or visit the stunningly situated market town Brecon to join in with its Jazz festival in August, and then in Builth Wells only 20 minutes aw...
