We loved seeing the lambs being born and having the chance to help (or hinder!) on the farm. The barn itself is spacious, warm and well equipped. It was also beautifully decorated...

We had a fantastic long weekend on the farm! Neil, Dorota and family were very welcoming and friendly and the cottage was very well equipped, warm and comfortable. We would most certainly recommend this hidden gem to others and hope to visit again soon!

How to get there
Airport: Manchester: 50.0 km
Railway: Buxton: 20.0 km
We would recommend approaching from Longnor, Warslow or the A53 (which is the Leek to Buxton road), or through the village of Thorncliffe.
Do not rely 100% on sat nav. It will take you to Frost Lane (and then Little Fernyford Farm) which is half a mile north of our driveway. Please note that Fernyford Barn is situated at Big Fernyford Farm, and not Little Fernyford, which is quite close geographically, but accessed by a different road.
